The first few years of Friends (Early & Mid 90's) were by far it's best years

Monica wasn't so high maintenance and Joey was a classic ladies man, always getting the girls

Ross & Rachel are without a doubt the greatest TV couple of all time

In the last half of the series, their character flaws were really emphasized to the point of caricature--Monica was the clean freak, Phoebe was really loopy and weird, Chandler was the pussy-whipped one, etc. I especially hated what they did with Joey--he started out as a ladies' man and then devolved into the dunce. I hated that.

And I really wish they had let Ross and Rachel get together for an extended period (like in season 2/3) after the Emily thing fell through, because they were great when they were together.
