1. Leaving a conference does not automatically qualify that team to be called a traitor. What Nebraska does in the football season does not help nor hurt any program within the conference, as the teams are not working towards a common goal. Nebraska was never on "sides", therefore cannot be a "traitor".
2. DeLoss Dodds as well as many other A.D.'s were looking at independence and other conferences as options.

Long story short, do some studying on Texas before you thrash out at others. UT has made some pretty big steps towards independence, and I would watch the issue closely if I were you. When Mike Sherman of Texas A&M was asked about the issue of Texas making these preparations and what he would do if they were to leave, he simply responded "We have a plan." Good luck this season! big twelve is texas biased, how many big twelve championship games have been "nuetral"? two maybe 3 that I can think of in the first ten years of the conference. First game was in st louis, and another in arrowhead, all the rest have been in san antonio or dallas, with the next two in DFW. The big twelve is stationed in where else but texas. I do believe DeLoss Dodds, as well as many other athletic directors were looking at other conferences, too. Texas has been looking to go independent for a few years now, hence the contracts with BYU and Notre Dame, which would crumble the conference. 1. Leaving a conference does not automatically qualify that team to be called a traitor. What Nebraska does in the football season does not help nor hurt any program within the conference, as the teams are not working towards a common goal. Nebraska was never on "sides", therefore cannot be a "traitor".
2. DeLoss Dodds as well as many other A.D.'s were looking at independence and other conferences as options.

4. Nebraska was not the only team causing strain on the Big XII. (If you didn't know, Missouri wanted to go the Big 10 before Nebraska snatched it from them, and Colorado signed their papers BEFORE Nebraska.

But Texas had to make sure they killed THAT so they could step up to the top. I don't blame Tom Osborne or Harvey Perlman one bit. In fact, I CONGRATULATE them. Big 10 football is just what Nebraska needed. Nobody even cared about the old rivalries anymore. I'd rather set up rivalries in a historic and unchanged conference anyway.

Colorado was already leaving the big 12, Neb had reservation about the big 12 prior to the start of the big 12. They fear it would be bottom heavy and the schools in the south would have a lot of power. Google it. You own school directors (current and former) made those comments.

All you have to do is watch a Texas game all the way through. When its close early on the refs will call against the other team to stop their drives and momentum. Once Texas gets a good lead, the refs will hold back. If not, then the refs will work for Texas all the way through as they did in the 09 championship game. well then TCU should play a tougher schedule, around 75 on most Strength of Schedules, I am a WAC guy and I think the Non-BCS conferences get too much already... TCU does not play week in and week out the oppoents that Texas does or BCS (including the Big East) hince why Cincy jumped TCU, the computers.. got it RIGHT! who would of thought?
