  • Great video Ryan!

  • I have one of these bags as well they work great. My loadout for EDC is a lot different than yours but no two loadouts work for everyone. I have my bag filled to the brim with gear from flashlights, multitool, knife, poncho, water proof matches, 3 spare Glock 19 mags, Full Med Kit, tournequette, hoslters, 1911 pistol as well + 3 spare mags, LED Flashlight, pens, 2 water bottles, HAM radio, spare radio battery, camera, phone chargers, lots of ammo, snacks, duct tape, etc.

  • Where did you get the bag and what's it called? Thanks!

  • This is a great video. I bought this bag just shortly after watching this video some time ago. The bag is excellent. Very high quality for a fair price. I love the secret side pocket. It is perfect for my conceal carry gun. Only question I have is, what kind of pouch is that you keep your wilderness survival kit in? That is a pretty cool set up you have.

  • Great Video. I think this is the 4th or 5th time I have watched it. You have a lot of great ideas and keep things multipurpose. Keep up the good work. Hopefully I can find one of those bags. But everyone I see they are pretty expensive.

  • ahah i look at you USA, and imagine if SHTF comes you all gonna shoot each other ,coz every US youtube members show their guns.

  • i have the same one and its great but mine is a tan color ! amazing perfect for almost everything

  • I can hear some people right now. The gun is loaded it has an invisible bullet in it and its an illegal sawdoff doublebarrel streetsweeper babykilling fullyautomatic ak47 with a silencer!

  • you should use the other water bottle too, and maybe add a crowbar/ emergency usb stick, who knows!

I really like your kit, I used it as an exemple to complete mine! :D

    thanks a lot!

  • I would change the bag out for a small back pack. If you needed to move out with a purpose that side bag would be a pain in the a**. As for sharpening that knife get you a GATCO or Lansky sharpening system. I use the GATCO and it will put an edge on anything. Price is less than $50.

  • that "can opener" is called a p38.

  • Great stuff. Where can I get one of those bullet cases you have ?

  • Nice kit!

  • -_- zzzzzzz

  • You should try to cut down on the coffee because if you ever have to do without it you'll get really bad headaches from the caffeine withdrawal. Limit it to just in the morning as opposed to just drinking it throughout the day. Caffeine is also bad for your heart.

  • Nice kit, thanks for sharing. I will suggest that perhaps your choice of bag broadcasts "Urban Commando", especially with lights and gear poking out at various spots. "Military" style bags certainly have "cool factor" to spare but they are hardly innocuous looking or unobtrusive. It’s your “bag” so to speak but it seems somewhat contrary to a “concealed” mindset even if your weapon is not visible. Just sayin’…

  • What prompted you to adopt this lifestyle?

  • Nice video, thanks for your time invested... i have the same flashlight...great 3 watt AA with clip that you can clip to hat as well to be handsfree, I carry a backpack that can accomodate my laptop, invoice book, glock 23, 2 mags, leatherman super tool, flashlight, extra batteries, daisy chained para cord so no tangles, fingernail clippers, reading glasses, fox 40 whistle, sharpie, fire magnesium stick, checkbook, mk4 knive, bandanna, sunglasses, bandaids, zip ties, cell phone charger, earplugs

  • Nice Video. I have the same flashlight..for $25 and uses AA batt instead of the expensive cr123, its a better deal than a streamlight imo. 3 watt that lasts 3-4 hours on 2 AA. I carry a backpack that fits my laptop, invoices, glock 23, 2 mags, extra batteries, floss, check book, reading glasses, sun glasses, mk4 knife, leatherman supertool, 50 ' 7 strand para cord daisy chained to take less space and not get tangled, fox 40 whistle, cell phone charger, zip ties, fingernail clippers, sharpie ..

  • why have a gun with mags and have them empty? Just seems like if that is you bug out bag that should be good o go

  • Where did you get the bag itself from? I would like to put one of those in my trunk. Nice bag. I appreciate it Ryan. I've watched a couple of your other vids... you make sure you have the instant coffee. I think it's a great idea for the BOB b/c your gonna want something to help keep you alert, the body is gonna be stressed as it is. like your vids.

  • It's obvious to me that you know your gear and have a very solid knowledge of survival, Ryan. I have a question for you regarding edible fungi in the wild: I heard that all types of tree fungi are safe to eat. Is this true?

  • awesome vid. i also always carry a pack of camel wides and a few small airplane size bottles of booze in my bag, not for personal use at all, but for barter just in case. it would be surprising to people how much these luxury items can be traded for if need be. a smoke for a sandwich, absolutely.

  • yah cause you need gun with you where ever you go. you never know when you'll get into a gun fight in the woods.

  • from your point of view, for someone who lives in the uk what defnceive carry would you recomend, i have one of my shotguns in my room for shtf like

but in the uk as edc we are on verry strict laws

    please help

  • Hey ryanjcus,

You have some great video's. A ton of good information as well to share with everyone. You also have some pretty cool stuff.

Take care and keep up with the vids.

  • Hey ryanjcus,

Great Video man! A lot of great information. I am pretty new around here, so I have been checking out a lot of different video's like yours. You have a really nice set up. I am going to add you to my subscriptions.

    Take care.

  • nice bag man. i agree with you on the gerber knife. it seems to me most of there knives are hard to sharpen.

  • Another great video. 2 thumbs up

  • I would add a small water filter and another knife.

  • To those of you who like to whine about "this too much/heavy to carry" I hope the next emergency happens to be at a convenient time and place for you!!!

The whole point is to have basic stuff for the inconvenient emergency.

No one else is going to carry your ass in the initial aftermath.

Has urban living bludgeoned all commom sense out of you?

    ryanjcus: Thank you!

  • Check out the Snugpak Rocket Pak. Dave Canterbury has a video where he dose a review of his 30 Piece kit, and he covers the pack. It is a beauty. watch?v=Dt9OJzTokvE

  • Very nice video! I thought about puting my bug out bag stuff on the tube! lol I have a family of 4 so we all have a bag even my wife!!

  • Hey Ryan! Great video! Good stuff! You're a very modest guy...Don't listen to your jealous fans! Lol!

  • allumenstudio - Sugi pula cu mata fraiere. Multa muie bulangiule - something nice for u in my language

  • thats not a fucking edc bitch uir are a mother fucking stupîde gay-ass calicew de tanarnak d'ostie de criss

  • yeah :P

  • Looks like a nice little kit. maybe 2 additional items. Some heavy leather work gloves to protect your hands. A roll or at least a couple feet of duct dape...never know when you can use some. Otherwise a pretty good kit.

  • @bsidenbend

I agree, duct tape is invaluable.

  • This is probally a stupid question but were you in the ARMY.

  • you're right the evo is not easy to sharpen alhough if you do get it use a grinder

  • well,, it was secret.. but good vid.. thanks for sharing

  • EDC bag, this is a man purse for a REAL man, pretty good video

  • Great as Always!!! How bout a vid or Vids on a Walk-Away Bag-Leave Home/Apocalyptic event; No vehicle larger than a bicycle or handcart or combo-Homes Destroyed! Give it some thought. Its what I prepare for. Best Always, =)

  • Ryan,

Your videos are fantastic and i'm glad i subscribed! You do some great work and we appreciate your efforts to help out those who search for the information you provide.

That said, pleaase ignore this GLK30 youtube user. He is a known youtube troll (possibly paid and working for somebody) that has been going around youtube and demeaning EVERY SINGLE video he comments on no matter what the information.

GLK30 you don't deserve our attention or the right to comment

    From your fan,

  • ... (cont)-- cellular phone, wallet (w/ ID, plastic monetary cards, cash, etc.), & keys (house, car, etc). Besides, toting that bag around town is anything but subtle; wouldn't attracting undue attention defeat the purpose of being prepared?

If you must carry a bag (again, in the context of EDC), perhaps a better idea would be an old fashioned fanny pack. Easier to hide under clothing (when it's cold), more discreet yet typical, & should give you just enough room to store smaller items.

  • FIrst, there is no way in hell I'm gonna drag that loaded bag if I'm running errands in town, such as grocery shopping (in the context of the Every Day Carry). Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the whole purpose of the EDC supposed to be BAGLESS? To be able to be carried on your person? For the Bug Out Bag, yeah, you've got some sound equipment (personally though, I'd ditch the pen light), but generally speaking there's not much reason to carry more than a cellular phone....(over)

  • Uhhh.... EDC means everyday carry. i don't know hwere you picked up "bagless" from. Perhaps you're thinking of "BEDC". Bagless everyday carry. LOL Get a life.

  • @ryanjcus

Well i mean he's kinda right (he could have said it with a little more sophistication). How often do you carry this around with you everywhere you go? My EDC only consists of a Zippo lighter, a cell phone and a pocket knife. But I mean this is a great bag so I don't think you should take it personally.

  • @ryanjcus Maybe you meant to leave the bag in the car?

  • @ryanjcus EDC doesnt have to be what you carry on your person at all time. it can also be readily accessible from your car.

  • @sleepysalsa yeah...nobody is going to 'carry' that bag everyday...maybe stick in your trunk or something...but this isnt EDC

  • @sleepysalsa You don't have to carry all the stuff he does. Although I think he's missing a few things. I only see 2 flash lights. I would carry 4 of them. Carrying a bag around isn't that big a deal. I think the biggest issue is men who don't want people thinking they are carrying a purse. When I go out I carry a shoulder bag and a military surplus backpack. You need more than a cell phone. A phone wont stop your bleeding, or keep you warm, or keep you hydrated.

  • @purplemutantas Well, if the "purse bag" is the biggest issue, then I've got nothing to worry about :)

  • @sleepysalsa Yeah edc is not suppose to be a bag

  • Comment removed

  • @maloso1313 why not? there is nothing at all that says that, im a college student and carry books and a labtop everyday, but its in a bag, does that mean all of a sudden they arent everyday carry items? seems to defy logic to me...

  • @sleepysalsa you are the prime example of the lazy useless sheeple that will be rounded up and never seen or heard from again

  • @tommysixgunner Sure, whatever you say. So, what was the last video you uploaded about?

  • @sleepysalsa I did a little piece about your mom and all of the black guys in her neighborhood, but they wouldnt let me put in on youtube. You can check it out on tube8 though Il get ya the link if you want it.

  • @tommysixgunner Dude, what is your problem? Apparently, you have never even bothered to look at my channel.

  • @sleepysalsa What now you cant even take Yo mama jokes Our future is bleak

  • Great Job, I will watch all your vids.

  • Mr. Urban, that's worst bit of advice you could possibly give a person. When the SHTF there wont be anybody in a position of authority to take your guns. There are going to be two kinds of people in that scenario; people that have guns and people who don't. Do you think you are a fucking Ninja or something? I think I'll keep mine, thanks. You can be the guy getting a brick to the dome because you only have a blade.

  • @dasupa666 lol wouldnt they only get abrick to the dome if the person using the brick didnt have a gun either? id rather use a gun than a brick just sayin lol

  • nice video

  • where did you get all ur bags

  • Bags a lot like the one pictured here can be found at sporstman guide daught calm. The current catalog that they have out is a good one with a good number to choose from.

The catalog is free I think.

  • well, i know what you guys are saying...but if you get robbed/beaten/killed, all the Bugging our is OVER!

  • Maybe thats why we have defensive weapons too.

  • when marshall law takes effect, who the hell is going to arrest you and take your gun? dumbass...

  • the military takes command when marshall law is enacted so I suppose they are able to confiscate weapons.

  • @fake1009: Should they also be allowed then to suppress our speech?

  • In my personal opinion, no, they should not be allowed to suppress our freedom of speech. However, words and guns are often viewed at a different level by the government.

  • i meant martial law actually not "marshall law"

  • @MrUrbanExplorer Are you a fucking retard or trying to be funny? The "shtf " will most likely have something to do with the government structure failing!! Who in the hell will take your gun, a person that thinks hes a cop?? But isnt because theres no government...(GASP) or will it be the hobo on the street with no gun saying "please give it to me or i wont do anything"?

thats when you shoot both their asses and reply "fuck you"

but the odds are you will be one of those people......

  • lol, nice bag but nothing says 'shoot the guy reaching for a concealed pistol' more than "rrrrRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIPP!!!!" of a velcro "secret" compartment.... other than that note, nice vid

  • Coffee's good. Don't want to find yourself in a stressfull situation and then get a caffeine withdrawal headache on top of that.

  • coffee is bad the caffeine dehydrates you and that's why you get a headache water is important in a survival situation

  • nice!!!! i would add some surg masks may be small water purifier plus purell for nands and rubber gloves please forgive the spelling

  • do u shoot? u should get really good with ur gun especially if u only have 3 mags

  • why would you need more than 30+ rounds? More ammo means more weight. You're probably one of those guys who packs 10 mags and 10 different knives and hardly anything usefull.

  • umm, well no you have it ALL wrong, i dont even bring a gun, and IF i decide to a knife its my KaBar and must not that the 9mm rounds are weak you would need way more than 1 (maybe 5-7) to kill a bear. I only really need a lighter and thats all i carry, a knife and a lighter

  • so it would make sense that 3 mags would be far better than a knife in a bear fight, no? You're getting way outlandish. Besides, if I expected to encounter any bear (most likely NOT to happen in Iowa) I would carry a .44 mag.

  • where did you get the bag?

  • I think this is a bag sold at cheaperthandirt they call their 'Bug Out Bag', I think its about $20 unless they are a knockoff of this bag

  • learn how to spell "like" faggot

  • Nice Bag!

  • good edc

any one know where i can find a video on shelters

  • what is the bag called?

  • Condor Outdoor Bug out Bag

Trust me when i say this is a great bag

i didnt have mine for long but this has served me great for now

  • o cool thanks

  • holy shit everything you need in ONE bag!!!!! :)

  • great video!

for great durability on a flashlight, try to use the twist on/screw on ones-less chance of failing.

also try to stop your habit of "um" (no offense)

again, awesome video just had to lay out my 2cents.

  • thnks rhadgee

  • sick multi tool...im getting that for my bag. nicely made pack dude. keep the vids coming

  • wat brand is the flashlight?

  • I have the same light.. its a RAYoVAC ((Sportsman Xtreme™ 1W LED flashlight/ Model: SELUX2AA1W-B / 45 lumens)). Let me tell you.. it is an awesome light for the app.$20.00 i paid for it.. Also.. a good shotgun/rifle light.. Out to about a good 30 yards.. in the head of the light i have an old 1" scope mount, and can attach it to any rail.. Got it at Wal-Mart

  • Comment removed

  • awesome.........Whens it starting i'm ready for it!

  • one good thing also to have in a pack is an arrow tip ...u can connect it to a long sick and get some fish if they will not bite...also some eye hooks to put in a tree to help with shelter or water ketch to save on rope ......and one other thing i got is a drill bit u would have to use it by hand but the plyers helpbut if u need to make a hole in something it would help and keep u from useing the tip of the knife.....nice pack good stuff in it .....i got to get one of those bags

  • Great ,great ,stuff bro , very useful.

  • where did you get that clear plastic holder for the ammo. Would love to add that to my BOB, looks slimmer than a normal box of ammo.

  • Nice! Im a Coffee addict Too and also carry a dozen packets in my BlackHawk Stingray Pack! Im not totally into the pack like yours, im just old fashioned and used to carry a rucksack in the U.S. Army But Still bro you have the Great Mentality of survival and your Videos are ALWAYS informal, helpful =)

  • Why?

  • because he would rather be raped by the government.. than be armed.

  • reluctant prophet... that is why you learn "survival" skills and stay hidden in the woods, the you go "AROUND" the checkpoints.... ; )

  • One thing you might do is only buy lithium Batterys. They hold more power are the same size as lesser batterys, keep for years and will not loose power if they get cold. I have had to toss out a lot of batterys over the years for going bad and it runs the cost up and makes me dig thru everything every year just to check the batterys. One more thing, they now make Lithium AA batterys. Nice video with some good info.

  • K so in the middle of Martial Law and the world goin ta sh*t..... you arm yourself... good deal.... say ya gotta get past a checkpoint.... "Wait.... I got a permit for this...." great vids though good stuff

  • hey! i got that sharpener, any tips on using the two different sides effectivly? i havent been able to get my knives decently sharp with it.. any tips? thanks

  • i don't know anything about "bug out bags" but i love watching these vids there really interesting. I do however know a bit about sharpening a knife an if you really want a sharp knife and a small, portable sharpener, the you should look at the fallkniven DC3 &DC4. they'll sharpen a butter knife to a razors edge in a few seconds i promise you that. i think there pretty cheap to. anyway good luck mate.

  • thanks for sharing your ideas and equipment choices

  • Thanks man, I'm searching youtube for BOB videos and making upgrades to my notes for my second video on earthquake survival. Your vids seem the best so far.

  • i love your videos, there very helpful, i'm getting into survival now, and im searching for a good alice pack, what do u suggest? and how much would it cost me?

    thanks for your time

  • FUCK GERBER and everything made in CHINA.

  • i bet the computer you are using right now is too....

  • leatherman and buck is made in china too

  • I believe the materials are made in America and assembled in China.

  • Start drinking yerba mate instead of coffee. Better for you and will give you tons of energy with no side effects. Great for your stomach. it is a great tea and tastes kind of like coffee. the south american indians call it the tea of the Gods. it cleanses the system and fights cancer. it is an herb. I drink it in the morning and early afternoon. don't drink it after 2:00 pm because you wont be able to sleep. you can get it any latin/mexican store. Great for your storage.

  • Would good quality smoke bombs be a good thing to have for signaling?

  • I guess they wouldn't hurt. It's surely better than nothing. Flares are really good.

  • i found that a small pack of flares are better. they can penetrate the canopy if your in the woods or if your in an area with high buildings. smoke travels with the wind. and you can fit six flares in the same space as a one smoke grenade.

  • OK thanks man.

  • How many mags do you have? I have 3 (on in the gun and 2 on my hip in a mag holder. Why do you carry the Extra mags in a bag and not on you?

  • I keep 3 mags ON me at all times. 1 in the gun, 2 on my hip. I use an "ace" double mag nylon pouch with velcro flaps. The mags are not carried in the bag, however if the situation calls for it, I'll have the ones on me plus some in the bag.

  • Leather Man Wave IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. I have one and can not count how many times it has saved me in one way or another. I do not have a Shit hit the fan bag. I may carry one may not.

  • I just bought one of the same bags from LA police gear. It's called the diplomat bag and it's superior quality. Comes in 3 colors. Great vid! Thanks.

  • Wouldn't a backpack be a more efficient way of carrying all that stuff on hiking trips etc?

Also I would add some kind of water purifiers and or a metal mug or pot of somekind so that you can boil water.

  • The shoulder bag allows instant access to items. The downfall of the shoulder strap is it's not as balanced as a backpack. IMO, the pros outweigh the cons. And I've used both alot. The purifers are in the basic survival kit. Also in the kit is foil, and I have a canteen cup for boiling. Keep in mind that a kit will change overtime, and packed according to what kind of trip you are going on. This is one part of a complete bug out system, but can be taken alone for day hikes. Be Safe Thanks

  • another awsome kit

  • My EDC bag arrived today & its just cool as the way U said it would be. Can't wait to get it loaded with all the things that make a EDC bag. Thanks for letting me know where U got it from

  • Great ideas of some of the things you might need in an emergency situation to be prepared. one thing history teaches is change is inevitable and it is not always an easy transition.

  • Flip Flip Flip Flip

  • good on the gun i bring a bb gun with 3 boxs and the bb gun is a pumpmaster 66 and it does not get in my way or slow me down

  • Not bad but i'd have preferred a backpack style. I might have missed it but i didn't see a compass or GPS? Surely navigation is vital in a survival situation.

I'd have wanted to see a more robust medic kit, shears, straps, saline, antibiotics etc in a hard pack in case of falls.

Sterilising tablets to purify water when no clean source is available?

Good stuff there but you need to look again. As for Coffee, thats essential. The ability to provide yourself a hot drink is a real morale booster.

  • This bag is only ONE PART of my system. See my "72 hour kit" video or "basic wilderness survival kit". Everything you mentioned is in those videos. I also have a video explaining the items in my medical kit. The small black pouch you see in this video is the basic kit. Theres no way I could fit all the info and explanattion of my kits in one vid. This bag is my EDC bag, I always have it with me or in my car. I use most of my gear frequntly, I now what is needed in the outdoors. See my channel!TX

  • excellent video. Excellent.

That bag looks like the bail out bag from CountyComm. Is that it?

    Nice job - great channel!

    Thanks.

  • Where can I buy a bag like that?

  • Try "cheaper than dirt . c om" or "condor outdoor . c om". High Quality Nylon. Excellent value at $20. Similar "maxpedition" bags are much more expensive. Thanks

  • thats some hand bag man. wowe.

  • Thanks Dude

  • I love beef jerky

    and a good vid

  • Me Too, lots of protein. Thanks

  • Another great video. Good job. New subscriber here!

  • r u military or ex military or something?

  • I'm really sorry for you guys in other countries that don't have the right to protect yourselves.

    Rich

  • Awesome. Thanks for uploading!

The glock is very cool, too bad we don't have guns here in the netherlands.

  • Nice stuff too bad for us in Aus we can't even carry a knife.

  • There are reasos for that. I mean anyway, why would you need a gun? What would it protect you from? Rabid kangaroos? Evil wombats? Drop bears?

I've been out in the bush heaps ad never encountered anything more dagerous than some wild dogs that ran away whe I yelled at them.

  • The main reason I have a gun is for self -defense. People are murdered on a daily basis especially In places where I go and near where I live. I'm a liscened, safe, and a responsible gun owner. There are many crazy people out there who have no regard for innocent life. If bad people have guns so should good. I may save someones life someday or my own. I choose to protect my family and myself. Those who choose not to, well thats their problem. And yes, you can defend from animals too.

  • Lest we forget the guy who started randomly shooting people in Texas at a public restaurant. Young lady had been at the range shooting, had come to the restaurant to eat lunch. Subdued the assailant with her 357 magnum. I believe he later died from his wounds. So did two other elderly people who were unarmed at the time.

    It pays to be prepared.

    peace :)
