man axls some fucking gayy , i loved him when he was with guns but now hes just blaming everyone else, and said he didnt like the drums for guns n roses it just brought him down , and i got slashes book and im taking slashes side at least hes not blaming izzy or matt or anyone , and he would try to get back with guns but axl said there is zero chance in goin back , he hates the "old guns" what a prick
Man, Axls got such a twisted version of events in his head. For me, Slash's book and his side of things rings more true than what Axl is saying here. But some of it looks like it's been construed from Doug, there new manager who was sending messages between Axl and the other guys in the band. It would explain why Axl never returned Slash's calls or went to rehersal etc.
Chinese Democracy fell short for me although there are great great songs on it, I think it was just the loooong wait for it that expectations were very high. But somehow I have a feeling they will make a brilliant follow up after this tour is over. I really could not care if Slash is in GnR anymore he is good on his own and with Velvet Revolver. Axl and Dj would sure make magic in the studio
axl seems so bitter and is solely responsible for the break up of that band. Niven had remained silent a lot of the years regarding axl, so i am glad he spoke up.
Alan Niven, who was their manager from 86-91, recently did an interview where he sarcastically said of Axl "no one ever did anything good for him. We all fucked his life up, right?
Thanks for uploading this. Pretty clear no reunion is gonna happen unless a miracle happens...I dont really like how he was bagging on Stevens drumming, his drumming was solid on the albums he did. If anything I think Axl lacked in song writing compared to Izzy. I agree with what I heard Steven Adler had in response to this interview "Axl just likes to blame people". Im gonna subscribe, I hope to see more Guns stuff :)
