I think you misunderstand. There are no problems, really, just compromises. The old version has lots of power but pushes the nose down when you throttle up (easily compensated for by experienced pilots). The new version with the high thrust angle is better for beginners because it doesn't do that, but you lose some power and agility. I highly recommend this plane, but not for complete beginners. It's just too fast.
I just got one from Hobbyking-put together ok- have a 500 mah as recommened-have the battery pushed up the front nose and a t/x hobby king behind-the center of gravity worries me-is your battery in the nose end-sounds silly but a newbee-have a few 3 channel nine eagle planes-4 channel is new to me-Also with the motor screw do you put like a thread lock tight glue as mine seems to get loose-tried to fly today off the ground but would not lift hence feel to nose heavy-any advice welcome
The nine eagles planes (except the new sky runner like this design) have the motor in the front, so the battery is on the center of gravity, but on this plane the motor is behind the COG so the battery must be up front. It sounds like your prop might be slipping or reversed. Make sure the writing on the prop is pointing forward and make sure the prop is really tightened on there good as it is actually spinning in the wrong direction because this is a pusher design. Good luck.
So do you recomend this glider? Or are the problems not fixed yet?
