No. This remix came out 5 years AFTER Art of Noise formed and released its first tunes. Cybotron formed in 1980 and released the original of Cosmic Cars in '83. So you're kind of right, but also kind of wrong.

Juan Atkins is the MAN! I hate to say this, but i like Juan's stuff at times more than Kraftwerk. Juan put the funk in techno!

Oh man, I remember this song back in 80...I was only 12 years old! I specifically remember the "Detroit Style Mix" where the bassline goes solo in the intro before the beat actually kicks in.
