jeeze,when i think of all the shit,arcade stuff that i could've started with ... one of the good thing's in my life was the fate that gave me gp2 as MY 1st race game !! it was real,right from the start (for me) as racing sim was all i hoped,i'd get to do. good stuff,driver !! - go get schumee.
Where could I get this game today? and what would I need to play it like you are there? I have a windows 7 computer. I used to have this game on my old windows 95 and absolutely loved it would love to relive the memories thanks
@lukasha0 Playing with dosbox, but you must configure in install.exe or setup.exe the sound card you put and in dosbox config file you must put the same soundcard. I personnaly put Sound Blaster Pro 2.
I remember when my best friend bought this, grand prix 2 was in a league of its own back then in terms of simulations. The fly-by camera and the sound of the cars' engines driving by is unforgettable. This video can be misleading, though, because you wouldn't be able to play it back then at such high resolutions unless you had really high-end pc. What a great time for videogames the mid-90s were...
@NorbertSkit CD Version is all possible in DOSBOX! You just have to add the command line "mount d d:\ -t cdrom". The "d:\" is the drive letter where is your original CD ROM.

For the Steering wheel, yes, the way, was to calibrate it Analog, it's one of the first racing game where the wheel was able to be set analog! :^) As long, we don't set it analog, it gonna be harsh to kept control of our monoplace while trepassing another pilot on race! ^^
:D the epic and classic Grand Prix 2 :) Haven´t played the Version with the Original Files a time ago, only play it with season mods but I still love it!!

I remember that there was a problem with steering.
I`ve just cannot make the wheel little bit of left or right. There was always full turn left or full turn right. Do you remember ?
I know there was a driving help , but however playing on keyboard was very difficult.
