I wonder if blood type matter? Say for example type A could be greater then type O. Just the fact that some people blood could be greater then others when using PRP or does it make any difference?

Hair cloning would definitely be a lot better than hair transplant cause it would beat having to take hair follicles out of the back of one's head and leaving behind those nasty scars.

Is the prp-acell injections FDA approved ?

Does everyone showed possitive results after the prp-acell injections?

Can the injections produce scars?

@luigi132010 Thanks for your questions regarding ACell + PRP. Hope this helps!

Both PRP and ACell are approved (ACell has 5 FDA Allowances (equal to approval for a non-medication), and PRP has FDA allownces as well for point of use (injection).

No treatment is 100%, but our track record for positive results with our patients has been in the 80% range to date--we have had no adverse effects to date as well.

The injections for ACell + PRP for hair restoration have not produced any scarring.

I personally experienced hairloss since I was 15 years old, now I am 21 and I just stopped using Finasteride because I had side effects. Does this injections block DHT or just stimulate hair to grow? How often does this injections need to be applied to keep the effect?

I would just like to say that the comment about rogaine being exciting but doesn't do much may be true for some but not all.

I was a Nw 6 and minoxidil regrew lots of hair back onto a completely bald scalp which hadn't seen any hair in over twenty years.

so to acell work,doctor must still transplant and the transplanted stems multiply or duplicates? thought this works with plucked hair?

@WhiteMoonLights Multiplication of hairs seems to need "fresh" transplants (hair transplant) or fresh implants of plucked hairs. The healing process seems to involve the duplication of skin, nerves, blood vessels and most importantly, hairs. Injections of ACell/PRP into scalp alone with mature growing hairs, however weakened, do not multiply (we think). Time will tell!

I study economics, if any entity cures Hairloss with one/two injections, our Economic GDP will drop (this is bad only for economics, not humans). The FDA doesn't want and won't allow this because its all based on profit. I'm sorry, but they don't won't a cure in our current economic System. Remember, efficient and sustainable products are the enemies of profit.

@vidic245 Sorry but there is a cost to most items. Cosmetic improvement, like vacations, are optional. Like designer clothing, the choice of what one buys is optional, not a necessity. I can't speak directly to the economic concept you describe however I can say that medical progress which improves quality of life probably does have a positive economic effect. I ask that questions be limited to the medical aspects of the treatments discussed.

@DrPrasad1 Sorry for going off tangent, the point i was trying to get across is, due to economic GDP which every first year economist understands. There will be no cure for hair loss in our current economic model, products need to be constantly consumed over time for our economy. Hypothetically speaking, if ACell cures baldness, it will be shut down instantly based on its inverse relationship to GDP growth regardless of human concern. This applies to the cancer "industry" aswell.

Currently, the medical industry accounts for 25% of national GDP (Google it), Remember a high GDP is a good thing for the economy. What does the Medical industry do? it deals with SICK AND DYING people. Therefore, the sickness of people in society is "Needed" to sustain our economy. They don't want 1 simple treatment, they want treatments overtime. If they cure cancer tomorrow, GDP will drop.

Dr. Hitzig continues to improve his formulation of ACell with PRP (platelet rich plasma) and has returned from his supervising Dr. Reddy's treatment at the Private Clinic of Harley Street with some modifications of PRP processing. @cinqueostacoli Like any treatment, this one has been shown in our recent studies with patients to help slow down, stop, and sometimes even reverse thinning hair, BUT nothing is 100%. We feel we are moving in the right direction however.

What about the affects of DHT on the hairs that were dipped in ACell? Do they have immunity to DHT?

@randalloid3 Dipping the hairs in ACell will help attract the body's Adult stem cells to the site of injury made when we make the tiny cuts to insert the hairs in the recipient area. From there, it is our belief that the site will "re-model" itself during the healing phase with fresh "progenitor cells" thereby increasing the new hairs immunity to DHT.

I have also recently heard that now a new method of using the ACell from a pig's bladder instead. Was this video made before this recent discovery? And if so, what is the difference between the two methods?

@randalloid3 There was no reference made to human bladder but rather to "bladder" in general for the healing capacity. ACell is derived from pig bladder.
