  • XD. Birdy went bye bye. z :O must touch it! (no not the dead bird, the spark)

  • Why do you have an electric fence? o-o

    Defence against the storm troopers?

  • @jetstream550 No, we long ago defeated the storm troopers. This is just to keep our cows contained.

  • @dperdue Nice job. Storm Troopers are a formitable enemy.

  • fences like that is like from the jurassic park to keep dinos put

  • how mach voltage here? in AU the standards state 10000V at 1 HZ is this the same?

  • @stdavross666 I can't tell you exactly, the goal is probably 10000v, but this fence was probably not getting there

  • ha! awesome

  • Why do you have an electric fence? To keep people out? To keep animals in? (Looks like a rural environment, from what little I can see in this video, which is why the animals idea came to my mind.) An electric fence isn't exactly something you see in front of most homes, so I'm curious.

  • Keeping cows in. They're actually very popular around here (Middle Georgia).

  • Ah, makes sense. When your skin is thick as leather... er, when you skin IS leather... then you need a few volts as a reminder to back away from the fence. :-)

  • thats shocking to watch.

  • I know of a fence that shocks about this fast, & I mindlessly rested my hands on it, and didn't get shocked 0_0

  • thats because you wasnt grounded...next time your at the fence, touch one hand on the electric wire and your other hand on the metal pole

  • good idea, genius.

  • 60 arcs-per-minute. sounds like a clock tick!

  • lol if you wanna see real arcs check out my video in the responses

  • The bird probably landed on the fence and got the shit shocked out of it! lol

  • loll

  • HAHAHA!!!!!!

  • Probably not. Birds perch on electric wires all the time. It is OK as long as there is no ground to complete the circuit.

  • doubt the bird shocked itself. birds always land on power lines which are 10 times the power of this. but who knows the bird probably landed next to the pole drawing an arc at the bird.

  • the arc is jumping from the cable to the pole, the pole has possibly ground, so if the bird happens to touch the wire and the ground pole at same time it will get the shit shocked out of it.

  • sweet

  • literally, so it seems

  • Why are you on it then?

  • we used to play with electric fences growing up just for the hell of it! you get used to the pop!

the poop is damp and offering a quick path to ground, a wet leaf too close will do the same.

  • Or is the very air that cause sparks, or something playing at the ends of the fence

  • WOW!You're very board huh?

  • electrified shit...thats what they get for sittin on powerlines for 12 hours of the day.

  • i meant it shocked the shit outta that bird

  • the electric fence must have shocked the shot outta that bird haha

  • You should have pissed on it to clean it up.

  • hahahahahahaha!

  • pop pop pop pop popp pop to mean pop

  • LoL

  • No wonder my radio wasn`t working.

  • Dude u gotta be carefull theres dangers in these things and there alot of volts!!

  • Painful but hardly dangerous.

  • smart bird

  • I love grabbing an electric fence, when someone walks past ya touch their ear lobe. Just remember, all the time ur hanging onto the fence they won't hit you.

  • sounds like someone snapping their fingers to, King of the Road, you know, trailers for sale or rent. but I know deep down its only poop for real. the whole poop and nothing but the poop. just kidding.

  • das KOOL!!! I WANNA DO DAT!!!!

  • Really annoying for AM radio reception.

  • Yoi meen ham radio?

  • Yes...that too. The neighbors had a "weed burner" fence and some kid put a metal handled garden tool against the fence. Wow..

you could see the thing from 100 feet away!

  • unfortunatly the camera is way too close, the grass is in focus, not the fence, arc and poop.... :(

  • Ya, i want to see poop!

  • Earth breakers trip at 30mA, a person trips at 50mA

  • My dad told me stories of pissing on electrical fences before. Not fun.

  • gosh i remember licking 1 of these wen i wans younger (dont ask) i hope there was no shit on it =[

  • if you calibrate your audio, you can hear a difference in the 'ticking'. when you don't see an arc in the pic, it was more than likely on the post to the right.

  • i think you will find even battery op fencers are around 6-8kv,the current is micro amps though, like the ht on your spark plugs in a car.

  • I remember testing an electric fence with my dad a few years back and each "tick" was just over 400v. No wonder it hurt so much.

  • i always thought that they were low voltage

  • high voltage, low current.

  • oke thanks

  • thats an example of how an elctric fence wors the pulse with high voltage not a continous current

  • mmm yummy

  • lol... fried shit

  • lol, thts funny

  • Heh, how amazingly dumb some people can be not seeing the point in this vid. This is a good example of why electric fences should be kept clean, shortages like this may cause efficiency loss and even fire in the right condition. Besides can be real annoying. And first of all people, read the bloody description before saying any worthless shit.

  • pee on it!

  • wow XD

  • LOL!

  • gross

  • yeeaahhh right.. amazing

  • Wow an electric fence... Fascinating :-)

  • Um.... Cool?
