i think this works well. fir i use it to fix bad or virused drives. and no mine di not have a disk. and mine did usb 3.0 verry quick. but if you put another drive it will disconectthe other and put up both. liveable use to clone ect.

@phatbieu Did it constantly blink between power and data light? I just purchased one with only one slot and it worked for a short time (1 hour). Now it won't pick up any of my drives.
