  • Dude that sick! Love it great work!

  • Awesome track. inspired me (:

  • Great tut mate. Nice one :)

  • Man, this is super inspiring for me! I'm running Battery 3 on Logic, which unfortunately doesn't have the best sample editor (or one that's inline on the arrange). I'd love to see more detail on some of those noises, most of what you did were repeats, but I'd love to learn more about some of these glitchier sounds that are in your composition. How many different beats did you use to chop up? How long does it take you to make a beat like this?

  • sto tutorial è na merda

  • This actully is a really nice track buts its loops right?

  • no, this is all original composition.

  • @Artelis

what track on your soundcloud is it?

Tundra?? cause it sounds slightly differnet

that track in the video reminds me on Phace - Cold Champagne and a bit AFX - Wabby Legs

  • @9snaker It's not on my soundcloud.

  • @Artelis

xD the "like" best song, lol

  • hi what is apple+j in windows? i dun use mac...brilliant tutorial btw...exactly wat i was looking for...

  • ctrl+j

  • the talking was stupidly quiet, had to turn my speakers right up, only to have them nearly blow with the music at the end :(

  • headphones help...I had no problem atal...

  • is there a place to learn for noobs? live 8 is quite complicated.....

  • the song at the end was...ooh my god!, this looks like and oldschool way of glitchin! thank you!

  • sorry i couldnt hear at the start did you say you were using a drum plug-in called battery?

can you create sample impluses or does it just have a bunch of presets?

  • yes, battery - It's a sampler, so you can use presets, or your own samples. It's also got a bunch of synthesis options and dsp options, so you can manipulate the samples quite a bit.

  • brilliant, just what im looking for. Thanks mate.

  • helpful tutorial and awesome song at the end! The sound was really quite though...

  • helpful tutorial, thanks

  • where can i get the vst plug-in you used, battery?? have any tips on where to get plug-ins. I have 0.

  • You can get Battery (and every Native Instruments plug-ins) in any good music store, or search for Native Instruments in Google, and go on their web page... you can buy all their VST plug-ins (including Battery) online.

  • Does Ableton Live 8 come with sounds and drum kits already and how many are they. Thanks.

  • ableton live 8 isn't out yet.

  • Oh, my mistake. Then how about other versions?

  • it comes with some preset drum kits with the drum machine called Impulse. There's probably about 50 different presets in version 7.

  • Nice track at the end. Makes me wanna go listen to my Autechre cd's.

  • "for a guy like me it can bother me sometimes" lol.

    nice. thankx a lot.

  • I like the song at the end....good stuff. you don't need to bother with recording your midi track to an audio track. just right click or ctrl+click the midi clip and freeze it. then option +click the track and drag to a free space. rightclick/ctrl click on the clip and hit flatten. turns it to audio. doesn't seem that useful for small clips but save a lot of time with larger clips.

  • sweet! Thanks for the tip. This is pretty useful.

  • oh i enjoy everything there is to enjoy about it alright!!!! ;)

Do you work entirely with wav? do you not arrange with any midi?

    thanks for the video!!

  • I normally just arrange the initial beat in midi and then work in all audio. I used to do a lot of midi sequencing, but I noticed I get the results I like more from working in audio.
