When you Got him/her was she still feeding off her yoke (sp) When i first got mine he was and he was so adorable. Now he is almost 3 feet long and my bestest friend =D We chill and watch tv and play video games together. I also managed to get a very chill python, Has never struck at me (had him for a year now) And has never even gotten all agro.

You need to minimise your handling of the snake until it's gotten acclimated to it's new home. But her tongue is flicking which is a good sign. But a good indicator as to whether it's acclimated is if it's feeding regularly :)

My snake is doing great, he's eating one small mouse a "Hopper" weekly. This Saturday will be his 7th meal in his new home.
