  • So people who may not be all history majors do not know what caused the Great Depression? Ask someone like Crowder what caused the impressionaist movement? also you will get the same tupe of responses wherever you go, but here they are emphasizing it is a Liberal colege. More spin.

  • Kind of backfired on Hannity at the end, WW2 didn't end the great depression.

The US was a mess all the way up to 1945, when Government spending was cut to the bone, and the economy was freed from FDR's crippling programs and regulations.

All WW2 did was cut unemployment & give a false impression of growth. Sending millions of people to war doesn't create prosperity, it just makes a few charts look nicer.

  • The answer to 2:39. Fiscal and monetary tightening at the same time.

  • yep knowing what caused the great depression makes you smart. hahahahaha politics are fucking stupid. learn some real shit that actually helps people like engineering or health/medical fields.

  • Crowder being called out by comics....saying they would never work with him at any club

  • What does going to a liberal college have to do with anything. I'm pretty offended.

  • ya taking random clips out of context yeAH!!! steven crowder is a douche

  • @bojanks15 they aren't out of context. It shows the question he asked and then their answers.

  • :29, yup, thinking... nothing wrong with that.

And those results had to be doctored, there's no way nobody knew that Lincoln was a Republican. This guy works with Andrew Breitbart, after all...

And to wipe that smarmy smile off Crowder's face, Lincoln was one of the biggest liberals of his time. Federal government over states rights? Sounds liberal to me.

  • @grapedrankdisco It is without a doubt a beautiful campus, but don't let it change you. Although it sounds crazy, that's what happens.

  • @grapedrankdisco Maybe in lesser quality research institutes. I know for a fact that many research institutes and laboratories that offer post-docs are biased against UC Berkeley because of this ideological subversion present there. I'm not trying to attack you, these are simply things that exist. It's not exclusive to UC Berkeley either. Dartmouth, JH, Cornell, UWashington, Columbia are also looked down upon compared to schools of similar 'magnitude.'

  • @grapedrankdisco For Psych it's still probably a good school, since it's a social science, but regarding life and physical science, students there are very poor compared to most national universities. I really don't like the management there; many people I met there were condescending and very much liberal, not that I don't respect liberal point of view, but this was ridiculous, especially since I was there on a project regarding Neuroscience.

  • @grapedrankdisco Seriously? Do you have any clue how many people view UC Berkeley? I know several researchers, scientists, MDs, PharmDs, and I can assure you that UC Berkeley is regarded as one of the worst "prestigious" universities in America. Are you by any chance a UC Berkeley student?

  • the chowder guy doesn't ask proper questions nor does he know correct answers. I already known the dismal intelligence of sean hannity. Asking someone who their favorite president was is not an A or B answer and inteligent people pause to think and compile a reasonable answer. Lincoln was a republican but any reading on political parties in America would should a switch and parts of the parties ideologies. The stock market/GD questions have a list of factors.

  • chowder boys line of reasoning is as lame as hannity and the rest of faux propaganda news

  • I don't get the point here...Crowder with his Leno style slective editing found some clueless people. ONE OF WHICH actually got an answer right since Lincoln WAS a Whig at one point.

THen he goes on Hannity...a guy who studied divinity (aka..magical bullshit) Hannity did not finish his degree (lazy)

Pundits on teh right include: Beck-didnt finish

    Limbaugh- flunked college

"Macho" Sause- druggie high school drop out, but found magical Jesus

yeah, that's such a brain trust...

  • Republican goes around and asks people random historical trivia.

Republican finds a number of random people who can't answer basic history.

Republican rages against the "liberal schools..."

Republican continues to defund public education.

  • "The great depression? ... The first one?" LOL.

  • If he didn't edit the footage, why doesn't he leave a link on his website allowing anyone to download all the raw footage? Then there wouldn't be the question of whether it was biased or not. The fact that the question of the reliability of this survey (conducted by Steven Crowder who works for Fox News anyway) was only briefly mentioned in 5 seconds just confirms this whole thing was a farce.

And the YouTube video advertises a Glenn Beck book as if this isn't a big enough joke as it is.

  • I bet he purposely did not ask and history majors

  • @ginad17 He walked around asking random students, either way, all of them should of known these questions.

  • @karaokeregret Yes but by leaving out potentially right answers he is showing his bias, which is probably why he works so well with Fox News.

  • Abe Lincoln was a Whig at the start of his political career.

  • In his UC Berkeley video it is clear that he edited it to his advantage.

  • I go to college and there are a lot of stupid people there ALONG with a lot of bright people. This isn't liberal or conservative. It's just showing that too many people of my generation are fucking morons!!

  • This video was edited to make the students look stupid.

And the girl wasn't "sort of" right. Parties were completely different back then.

One more thing: Lincoln was a Whig before 1854. Does this station even know how to do a basic Internet search?

  • Heres what they learn at school: how to further the progressive agenda.

  • I thought that FDR's New Deal and the 3 R's policy was what brought America out of the great depression. Oh right FDR was a Democrat and you can't say anything positive about Democrats on Fox... Also best not to mention that it was the Conservative Coalition that shut down the relief program... of course WWII did end the depression and turn USA into a superpower, but there is no doubt that without FDR's New Deal, USA wouldn't have survived the great depression, never mind WWII

  • @jamesjedd The way the U.S. conducted themselves during WW2 was Kenyesian Economics on steroids. Most Conservatives don't want to admit as such though. I've noticed a trend among the Right regarding FDR. For years they didn't publicly badmouth him because they needed the voted of old people to get elected. Old people adored FDR and it tore at the New Right's guts. They waited until after the New Deal Generation largely died off before they said anything publicly. Principles my ass!

  • The only reason Reagan and Bush were put on a pedestal by the Right was because until 1980, they failed to get anyone elected from the New Right to the presidency and there exists a need by the Right to have their own FDR character even if they have to revise history to do it. Remember the trouncing Barry Goldwater took in 1964? The American Right at that time just was not strong enough nor their ideas deciminated enough or well funded enough to win.

  • @jamesjedd I just don't understand why Conservatives somehow believe that they are the only real Americans. The conservative movement wasn't officially organized until the mid 1950 with the starting of the National Review magazine by William F. Buckley Jr. I guess every other person who lived in this country before 1955 all the way back to 1776 just happened to 'be' here.

  • @Activeassholeonpills Wrong. Conservatives believe in and seek to protect the foundation of the nation, the US Constitution, and the principals this nation were founded on. Thus the key word "conserve". I'm a Conservative. I believe in the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, and that individual liberty trumps governmental power. The more the Government stays out of the way of the People, the better. Conservatives have been around since the birth of this nation.

  • @TominatorJ You apparently don't know much about the founding of your own movement. I have extensively studied the rise of the American Right after the Second World War, but then again, this is not the first instance and which someone labeling themselves as a 'conservative' bought the narrative of historical revision prepared for the unknowing followers of the movement by the Right's think tank denizens. Your not alone so I won't attack you personally.

  • @Activeassholeonpills Look up the 1860 Republican Party Platform and get back to me. Thanks. The right was around long before the post war era.

And you still ignore the fact that I just pointed out that conservatives today seek to protect the founding principles of our country.

  • @TominatorJ That's just it, I wasn't ignoring the fact at all. I decided not to comment on that because one person's idea of what the founding principles of our nation aren't necessarily congruent with anothers'. As for the assertion that the Right was around long before the post-war era, that's BS. There was no Right vs. Left in the 1800s. All political fervor coalesced around specific issues such as slavery and the question of silver coinage. People didn't have cultures built around ideology.

  • @TominatorJ And just to add on to my earlier statement, there was no division based on political ideology in that time because this was during an era before social and economic changes in America fommited the formation of a backlash to classical liberalism and classical lassier fair economics. Today however, the main battle in America is between two camps of market oriented philosophy: Freidmanite Capitalism and Keynes Capitalism. Neither of these camps have much in common with classical eco.

  • @TominatorJ May I also add that the laundry list of human rights that the Founding Fathers advocated(inconsistently for that matter) were wholly inadequate in terms of longevity. Thomas Jefferson himself admitted this much. The Founders were to their credit farseeing in that they envisioned that future generations would strive for the expansion of said human rights at times when mankind was ready to let those said rights expand.

  • @TominatorJ ‎"Our children will be as wise as we are and will establish in the

fulness of time those things not yet ripe for establishment." -Thomas Jefferson

    Read em and weep!

  • @TominatorJ Also, when I was referring to the Conservative Movement in my earlier comment, I was referring to the New Right which is Post WW2. The Old Right, that which existed before WW2 was organized largely as a backlash to the Progressive Era which ended over a decade before the start of the Great Depression.

  • UC Berkley also alledgedly performs most of the US' nuclear weapons research. Ummmm.......I don't trust those B61s anymore folks...

  • @misterdirtyharry You realize you were in this video? No, really. Look! There you are. Good leftard twit twerp. You don't really read, do you.

  • @misterdirtyharry My, how dishonest of er, YOU. But excellent evidence free left logical fallacy tactic. Five stars then, junior comrade drone.

  • Hannity and Crowder, both of them are complete and utter clowns.

  • @OhMaDayzz Excellent left liberal logical fallacy. Now focus where Crowders allegedly wrong & counter with your brilliant evidence & outstanding online work & publications etc. Ya got nothing. U R dismantled here. ZOMBIETIME COM, PJTV com, thepeoplescube com, breitbart com, lookingattheleft blogspot com, jihadwatch org, michellemalkin com, memritv org, islammonitor org, steynonline com, iowahawk typepad com, thereligionofpeace com, Tim Blair & Andrew Bolt blogs, colonelrobertneville blogspot com

  • @OhMaDayzz Oddly, I am enjoying your own beclowning. Good left liberal pod person.

  • Comment removed

  • @ReDevilJR I never excused them, but the thing is you can do this anywhere. He is making it seem like it is just liberal students, which is dishonest. I could gather a group of conservative college students and get the same results.

  • @misterdirtyharry Then do it, dear logical fallacy spouting left liberal.

  • fox noise sucks

  • Ooo... we're such a bad school, but, we did ONLY find 3 periodic elements. Something that no school has ever been the chance to brag about, and we named our findings.

  • @edguy52 They just did clever editing. The only way people that are gonna think this is real are idoits.

  • Hannity is such a piece of garbage. Why don't they challenge US History majors at Berkeley to answer these questions. Hannity's life and job IS politics, while a regular college student's isn't. Them asking random Berkeley students these questions is like us asking them about ANYTHING else but the U.S.

  • @Jayo2Nice You have a point.

But the entire point of Steve's video is that it is a travesty that the best public university in the country has students that are so ignorant of their own history. Democracy only works if there is an informed citizenry, and schools are supposed to inform citizens before they enter society. It doesn't matter what you do for a living, everyone should have a basic understanding of our history, and our politics.

    That was Steve's point.

  • @Jayo2Nice LOL it doesnt take a history major to answer these questions! You'd probably be able to extract better information from sea monkies.

  • the best part is both of these guys like it up the butt. If you notice a republicans offense/defense is irrelavent facts and fictions of history.

  • @BWeav10

I notice you dont point out any FICTIONS that they focused on...instead you just personally attacked them...

  • If I want an apple, I don't go to the library. It's just common sense. Why he didn't go ask those questions to students at faculty of the economics and political science? because maybe he was afraid of getting his ass kicked. Some people just don't care about bullshit worthless politicians and journalists.

  • @metromx exactly. Took the words right out of my mouth.

  • Anyone can go around with a camera and interview people about american historyand cut out all the people who acctually had answers to the questions. the sad part is, crowder thinks he proved something by asking the most trivial bullshit that he probably wouldnt know the answer to if he didnt decide to make this retarded video. sorry but jay leno has done this before and stopped because he was called out on it.

  • I'm from Canada & even I know more about American history than these morons. I think ppl who are liberal hippies take more time trying to be self righteous and forget some basic knowledge.

  • @HIMYNAMEISEVAN or maybe crowder is being a dick by asking trivial shit and cutting out all the people who had answers. It wouldve made sense if he was going around asking history majors and not just random students. but anything that makes sense has no place in conservative propoganda

  • @RaabBlog

a history major? one of the questions asked was what started the great depression. you dont need to be a history major to know that one. these students should have learned this in middle school and high school. thats why these sort of things are called common knowledge quizzes, most people should know or at least be close to the answer.

  • @RaabBlog You do realize that a history course is required by pretty much all colleges to graduate, right?

  • @RaabBlog

People have been doing man on the street interviews forever and people have always been this stupid. The point is they shouldnt be at a so called fantastic College. They were basic questions... one was even an opinion question that everyone answered the same lollllll

George Washington is so far beyond everyone else and he wasn't mentioned, and that answer is a little cliche as well. The more I learn about Coolidge the more I love him. He was an extremely popular president in his day

  • @fishblades I would have answered Washington without hesitation, too, after seeing his biography. I figure answering that in a political science class will get you academically slapped, though. I admit I know almost nothing about Coolidge.

  • @ObiWanShinobi1

Fun Facts about Coolidge! He wasnt elected to his first term. Harding died in office.

Coolidge's taxation policy was that of his Secretary of the Treasury, Andrew Mellon: taxes should be lower and fewer people should have to pay them. Congress agreed, and the taxes were reduced in Coolidge's term. In addition to these tax cuts, Coolidge's ideas were shared by the Republicans in Congress, reduced income tax rates and eliminated all income taxation for some two million people.

  • @fishblades thanks, now I know a little bit.

  • WHAT THE FUCK. Hannity and Chowder, 2 morons in one. Thats a good fucking deal!!

  • We have come to the time where education is a bad thing in America. Loud opinions is the only thing the people crave nowadays, according to the popularity of this self-centered jock.

  • the federal reserve caused the great depression

moral relativism is a shocking, radical idea

college classes do nothing but "ramble on" about "grey areas"

  • I am a Republican and I attend Berkeley. It ashames me that people believe students are as ignorant as they seem in this video. I will admit it is very liberal but if you keep an open mind and look at all the sides presented, the education is very well rounded. If anything, lectures and research from some of the most liberal teachers make me believe in my Republican ideals more. I am a poly sci and econ major and could answer these but ask me a chemistry question and I would have trouble.

  • @bd29100 SO YOU'RE THE ONE!!!! the brown shirts will be there to visit you shortly. obviously you have enrolled only in education classes and so must be reassigned for reeducation. lucky for you that you did not say the word "conservative" or your next stop would be blindfolded against a wall.

  • @bd29100 And I'm not a Republican, but I attend Berkeley too. I am also sick of the "liberal hippie" reputation this place gets. Honestly, most of us are studying rather than hanging around Sproul plaza answering questions that really don't matter much. I could answer most of these, but I'm not ashamed to say I don't know all of the answers because I am a biochem major and I have more important things to do and know.

  • @seanplaysmusic That is cause you are a science major. Which means that you are TRULY smart. You have no time to fight "the people revolution" or participate in "class warfare." Good luck with all of those ridiculous algorithms and hope you make a ton of money once you get out. You deserve it! Best of Luck.

  • @alfamax4562 Science majors at Berkeley hate republicans just as much as poli sci majors. Republicans reject sound science; evolution, global warming, even Einstein's theory of relativity is debated by christian conservatives. The bottom line is, most republicans couldn't get into Berkeley because they aren't intelligent enough.

  • @thorntonclowe Monochromatic thinking belongs to simple minds. Your "you are red and I am blue" mentality and phony intellectual elitism is JUST AS BAD as the belief that Adam and Eve were the first humans to walk the earth. The problem in America is not Reps or Dems, it is STUPID, IGNORANT people. Progressives/Marxists/Socialists and Fundamental Christians are BOTH the same: Too ignorant, naive, and scared to understand FACTS and REALITY.

  • @alfamax4562 You're a fucking moron. Look the red states, look it where they rank amongst education, look it any study that connects level of education to party affiliation. You think all socialists/marxists/progressives are ignorant? How about a Albert fucking Einstein, ever heard of him? He advocated socialism in numerous articles. You're just jealous that idiots like yourself don't have a shot at Berkeley.

  • @thorntonclowe hahahaha. I do not need Berkley to make 6 figures buddy! How much do you make as a waiter at the Olive Garden? Now if you don't mind, let me go create some value while you go stick that big thumb of yours up your cloaca.

  • @thorntonclowe

Yeah, those brilliant people over in California and Berkeley are doing a great job with their state. The state of California is in debt by how much these days? Socialists and marxists are idiots. Their ways have been proven to not work. The fact that you think most republicans are too stupid to get into Berkeley is laughable. What an ignorant comment. Republicans would rather not go to Berkeley. Berkeley isn't even a top 20 school, so you should get off of your high horse.

  • @jec7483 As if your movement has had any more luck running the country.

  • @Activeassholeonpills

My movement? You mean capitalism, low taxes, and smaller government? Actually, it has had much better success with running the country. I suggest you go to google and type in Ronald Reagan.

  • Activeasshole giggles at your insolence. It took me a month to reply. Sorry about that. I had a priority list. Arguing with ideologues isn't on it.

  • @Activeassholeonpills

Sorry, I don't have discussions with idiots that use their username in the first-person. I'm sure it just took you a month to research that I'm correct, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it took you a month to come up with that response. The truth of my comment must have been too much for you. Hopefully you were able to learn something while researching why my comment was correct. I think your next priority should be to wake up and come to reality.

  • @jec7483 You just have to have the last word don't you? If you think you're so right about things, why argue? Let the real world happenings stand on their own. Just seems like you need this on a visceral level. I however, do not.

  • @Activeassholeonpills You've got a perverted view of reality and I hate to see people being that blind to the world. Let the world happenings stand on their own?!? What kind of dumbass comment is that? You're right, why have news? We should just let "the real world happenings" take place and not react to it, so why even learn what's going on out there. I'm just trying to fix you. Your view of the world is broken. I guess some people, like yourself, are beyond help.

  • @jec7483 I rest my case.

  • @Activeassholeonpills Excellent left liberal logical fallacy. Now focus where Crowders allegedly wrong & counter with YOUR brilliant evidence, outstanding online work etc. Ya got nothing. U R dismantled here. ZOMBIETIME COM, PJTV com, thepeoplescube com, breitbart com, lookingattheleft blogspot com, jihadwatch org, michellemalkin com, memritv org, islammonitor org, steynonline com, iowahawk typepad com, thereligionofpeace com, Tim Blair & Andrew Bolt blogs, colonelrobertneville blogspot com

  • @thorntonclowe LOL... Most "hardcore Democrats" are ACORN activists, Union members, welfare recipients, and of course your typical social "sciences" student that in order to find a job would need the help of the Fed Gov since he/she produces NOTHING of value. The problem in America is not being a Democrat or a Republican... it is being STUPID, UNINFORMED, and NAIVE, like those who believe in creationism, or like those who believe in socialism and progressivism.

  • @alfamax4562 You definitely couldn't get into Berkeley.

  • im 13 its joe biden.....

  • right, i get it. liberal universities teach students how to make hemp coats. UCBerkly is ranked top five in the world. Hanity and some yuppie kid are not going to change that by asking freshmen students history questions. My major was lIfeSci, i could give a fuck about honest Abe.

  • Did this guy even attend college? These "sidewalk interviews" are always ridiculous. He edits out all of the legitimate answers and cherry picks the bad ones in order to create the impression that the individuals being interviewed are indicative of the entire student body. Typical right-winger.... misinformation and card-stacking are the best tools of the radical right.

  • @shhenry

So you have access to all the raw footage? Please share, I'd love to see the rest of it.

  • He asks mostly subjective question then gets mad when he gets answers he doesn't agree with.

P.S.: Hannity is awfully full of himself for someone who didn't go to college.

  • Q: What are these kids learning in school?"

A: Things that have a direct impact in their field of study. It does not really make sense to assume they would have enough time to know these things. Even if they are pretty basic, they are trivial in the context of the life of a student. These people are too busy learning things that actually have consequence for them.

Ask those same questions of somebody studying history or political science.

  • @Nanosempai ever heard of a classical education? if your so goddamn dumb that you don't even know who the VP is or what caused the great depression and then fixed it then they shouldn't be voting. Dont forget about the history/political science teachers who are either lying or are just as stupid as the students they are churning out

  • @callmeic

Of course I have. But I'm talking about information retained, not information taught. Of course, you can't expect even intelligent people to remember all of what they are taught indefinitely.

Calling those kids stupid for not knowing the federal reserve's role in the great depression would be like me calling you stupid for spelling the word "you're" as "your".

Also, the VP question was not in the original video by Steven Crowder.

  • @Nanosempai The causes of the Great Depression are complicated and not knowing them or understanding them don't demonstrate well of a person's intelligence. I really don't know much of how an airplane is built or to fly one & would say so upon being asked. That doesn't make me stupid anymore than not knowing or understanding the causes of the Great Depression. BTW, I'm somewhat Lilbertarian/conservative & frankly have not been impressed by Crowder.

  • @Aegius I agree with you. Maybe for slightly different reasons.

  • @Aegius

Then the correct answer is "I don't know." or "I'm not sure". These kids tried to play it smart and came out looking like morons. Even an educated guess "I think it might have been..." would have qualified.

Which, if you actually paid attention to the interview, Crowder said the same thing.

  • @antipryzm You're right. Good point. I mean it. Look, if you don't know the answer to something, then the smart answer is to state that you don't know or unsure. Remember when Bush '43 admitted to not knowing the names of leaders of certain central Asian countries and was mocked for it? I was impressed that he was honest and humble enough to acknowledge that he just didn't know.

  • @Aegius

That's basically what my other comments said.

  • So let's trash colleges...on a show hosted by a college drop out.

Great going conservatives...that war on education is such a great thing.

I would love to do a man on the street interview at a BIBLE college. There's a bullshit institution. Might see some "thirst for truth" idiots like Crowder.

  • It just goes to show that party name doesnt matter. Being a Republican in 1860 is nothing like being a Republican in 2010. Lincoln, by Republican's logic, was one of the worst president in terms of state's rights. Hell, he waged the war in the Civil War, by the own words, against State's rights.

  • Eh, Lincoln was a Whig when he was a senator soooo... partial credit? (which she is undoubtedly dependent on for passing at Berkeley)

  • @DoctorGoulet

"Eh, Lincoln was a Whig when he was a senator soooo... partial credit? "

Yeah no shit...and it makes Crowder look even more stupid for not knowing this or at least looking it up.

Then again, he wants to go on about liberals and intellect...yet he's got that whole belief in an invisible sky genie with magical powers thing going....

    magical fucking powers.

  • @SGhockeychika4 Abe Lincoln went to war with the south over taxes. He didn't want to free slaves, he could have cared less. Taxes don't mean shit when you can't buy anything with the dollars. What's the difference between Obama and Bush? Not much, as I see it. NOTHING gets done. To honor any of these men is ridiculous. Same side different colors. Stop playing the color game it's highly uneducated. Serve the military, you'll find out there are Republicans and Democrats fighting together.

  • @decaalv That's pretty ignorant. Maxwell equations don't help you understand implications of your vote (which everyone in this country does). It's pretty simple that maybe "liberal arts" should educate into a grounding to liberate yourself. You don't need a history degree to know about politics. He even did recent things. I can't believe you think you need a certain degree to pick a favorite president and understand why. You should understand your sovereignty before going into physics.

  • This doesn't really reflect what they're learning in college, shouldn't U.S. history be covered in high school?

  • @Nesserz85 Sure, it is covered. Why would you forget it though (if it's so easy and beneath you)? Plus, they are leading our country. The best and our brightest shouldn't forget that. And it does reflect what they are learning. If you forget US History what else can you forget? I've heard multiple people say "I never use what I learn in school on my job." So, why go? Credential inflation is rampant (due to going regardless). Business and government contribute that (Griggs vs Duke Power).

  • @Shrunkenhead61 Yeah what I meant by that was if something so basic is not learned in high school there might be issues with the whole educational system. It's not UC's job to re-teach students what they should have already learned. Some schools are so remedial in what they teach.... I would know. Most of what I know I learned myself by reading.

  • @Nesserz85 Great points. Thanks for explaining it. I tend to agree with the lack of education. I'm far from perfect and would fail the test myself, honestly.

  • I wonder how many students that knew what they were talking weren't added in the video?

  • Hannity has been associated with white supremacists like Hal Turner yet he always attacks Obama for his church?

  • Hannity was partly right regarding WWII getting us out of the Depression. Unemployment plummetted from 11% to 4%, but industry was still quite depressed due to high taxes and there were massive shortages caused by the war effort. What really got us out of the Depression was a coalition of Democrats & the minority or Republicans finally cutting taxes & spending and refusing to go along w/ Truman's attempt at a 3rd New Deal.

  • @Aegius You idiot. Back then, the top rich percent paid 90% of their income tax.

  • @Beardmania Revenue Act of 1945 * Excess Profits Tax. Repealed excess profits tax. * Individual Income Tax Rates. Reduced individual income tax rates 3 percentage points and 5% (top rate fell from 94% to 86.45%). * Corporate Tax Rates. Reduced corporate tax rates (top rate dropped from 40% to 38%).

    Taxes were finally reduced. Further:

    Revenue Act of 1948

    * Individual Income Tax Rates. Reduced individual income tax rates 5-13%.

  • @SGhockeychika4

"Also look at the people in Washington right now, almost all Ivy League, haha look where that's gotten us. Bush and Obama went to Yale. Yale's not looking to good now."

So you seem to put more stock in uneducated talk show hosts than educated people? Again...that's your party's hard on for anti intellectualism.

If your guys are so "smart" why not put their money where their mouth is? Al Franken became a senator. What have these guys done? Bitched a lot and avoided education

  • @hipstermi You are not using critical thought. To assume a party to this user. Then you use a term like anti-intellectualism. I think people want to look at people with more stock in understanding not education. I don't really know what happens in 4-years for these ivy leagues... so to assume they magically get educated is assuming quite a bit. To become a senator is to get votes. Votes and education aren't correlated. You are a tool of your "ideals".

  • @SGhockeychika4

"Also look at Bush and Obama, they both went to Yale and look at what they've done. Some good yes, but mostly bad"

Since Obama's term isnt over its early to judge. yes, Bush was a failure on just about everything. I'm all for universal health care, despite how the right acts like it's the end of the world.

"Beck does research before every show"

he seems to mention "Nazi" every chance he gets for no fucking reason.

I agree with you on history and reading.

However, you have your conservative "pundits" like Rush, Hannity and Crowder pretend to be experts on EVERYTHING. They are telling you it's not "natural" to be gay when they have no medical training. They are telling you what is/isn't with energy and the environment with no scientific training.

  • @hipstermi OK, medical training to know that being purely homosexual does not create offspring? Look, you have to define the terms. If everyone (theoretically) was purely homosexual... how would the population continue? That's the point. I accept homosexuality for others because I don't give a shit what they do in the bedroom. To undermine the fact that as a society we want to sustain and create tomorrow's people (that's what "natural" means) is just as stupid.

  • @SGhockeychika4

"Hannity dropped out because he wanted to pursue his career in broadcasting, not because he couldn't hack it."

That's what he said, sure. Who knows it its true.

"Crowder didn't go to college, because he jumped into his career everyday"

a guy doing journalistic videos doesnt need info on the subjects he debates?

So when your uneducated conservatives like Crowder, that druggie MachoSauce, Rush, and Hannity disagree with scientists and historians...we should believe them why?

  • @SGhockeychika4

    "Hannity did go to college."

Sure he went...but he dropped out. How hard is it to get a 4 year degree?

I know at one point he studied Theology.

Still...he dropped out. As did Rush. I couldn't find any educational credentials for Crowder. So what is the current anti intellectual platform conservatives seem to get off on these days?

(and dont bring up Rush's stupid point about liberal colleges because that conspiracy theory BS)

  • The causes of the Great Depression were complicated: increase taxes under Hoover. Smoot-Hawley Tarriff act in 1930 AFTER the stock market crash. Bank runs galore. However the biggest culprit was the FED. Ben Bernarke ADMITTED in 2002 that the Fed screwed up big time by not providing loans & bonds to banks that needed the assistance & restricting the bank runs.

What got us out of the Great Depression: 1)WWII helped w/unemployment dropping to 4%. 2)Cuts in taxes & no more New Deals.

  • @Aegius cont... I forgot to mention Hoover increased the highest rate of taxes on the wealthiest bracket at 63%. That is another cause of the Great Depression. FDR increased it to 79%.

  • @SGhockeychika4 biggest tax cut for the rich perhaps but you now what ? I'm not gonna argue with you because you probably make 5 million dollars a year, that's not my case, I have to work very hard and I'm barely getting by so it's not in my interest to vote for people who want to rob the poor to give to the rich.

  • @SGhockeychika4

I love you Republicans because all you can do now is talk about how great your party WAS because you know deep down that the GOP is just a divided nest of fascists, religious cooks and corporate whores, Oh how wonderful the republican party was but now you got Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, fucking pathetic.

  • @alexandreleverrier What makes Democrats better? If the Democrats are so brilliant, how come they have to even race against the "dumber" party? It is funny how one can call religion a plight but your religion seems to be the worship of politicians. All the names and labels. It's all a rigged game of Red vs Blue. Step out of the game and start to read the rules of how to play, instead. Pathetic? This whole game is. Grow up and stop throwing gang signs. Adults need to run the country not kids.

  • LOL Hannity would never get into UC Berkeley

  • What is it with Conservatives? They seem to hate education, say a "liberal" conspiracy theory is, etc. I also heard this claptrap during CHURCH sermons.

And we want to talk "revisionists history" lets talk about using the BIBLE as history. Hey Christians...did you know that Herod was dead around 4 BC? Or his biographers never recorded anything like ordering infants killed?

What do Conservatives want? No college and just church?

  • school sucks, huh??

  • Don't blame me, I voted for Willkie.

But seriously, I wonder how Lincoln became the hero in leftist revisionism. I'm not saying that he wasn't a great man(he most certainly was), but I was just wondering why he is the favorite of every Leftist professor. I always pictured them going for more of a FDR or a JFK.

  • @thenutintheushanka18

Why do you say "revisionism" ? It gets annoying conservatives complain about education, then like we see in Texas want "Intelligent Design" on the books.

It appears to me many people on both sides like Lincoln for his handling of reconstruction. I have seen management books cite the way Lincoln handled generals and cabinet members.

Also, Crowder in his dishonest fashion, only showed a small fraction of students. Historically ignorant people cite the famous

  • Just pack it up and get lost Republicans, after 8 years of this shit nobody wants you, Licking the rich man's ass and trying to turn America in to a giant WallMart isn't gonna work, people aren't that dumb, even if your voters are. People that are loaded with money and don't even pay taxes in this country are so thankful for stupid people like GOP followers, toothless overweight morons parading around with a big corporate dick in the ass. fucking losers.

  • the founding fathers were very liberal in their time, the GOP can only talk about how wonderful their party was because now republican leaders are corporate whores and have an agenda to protect rich people. Republican followers, the working class citizen, are manipulated morons that vote against their interest. Just tell them that liberals are gonna take their guns and let gays get married and they won't notice that they want to overseas your job and to China and destroy you rights as a worker.

  • hannity doesn't know shit about US history, and doesn't have a clue what the fuck caused the great depression. The irony. Between loony libs and crazy conservatives, this country is fucked.

  • hahahaha these guys are freaking idiots.... so now going to college is a waste huh? Not only was the guys video complete propaganda (he picked and chose what we saw), but why does it make you an idiot to not have a favorite US president, or know the details of an assault weapons ban act? I have been studying mathematics in university for the past 5 years, and yeah it is the best decision of my life, but I don't give a fuck about American history... it's not my field! So I am an idiot then?

  • Having lived in Berkeley for 4 years, this is completely accurate. Political indoctrination supersedes all other imperatives in that town. I'd like to see a block of folks buy up property there and take over the city council one district at a time.

  • @kleptobyte

You know, whenever I meet conservatives I am amazed with how historically and constitutionally clueless they seem. And come on...wanting "the Bible" as legal justification? or as "history"? Doesn't that seem superstitious?

But hey...you have an invisible sky genie the GOP kisses ass to. That sounds oh so smart!

  • look! its douchebags on parade!

  • Well with US K-12 down near the 17th (and lower 22) against the worlds developed nations, what more do we expect.? Programming begins in the early years. Progressive Nationalist-Socialism is indoctrinated into the children and the University only has to hone the concept. North Koreans believe they are in Utopia and the Dear Leader Kim jung Ill was the greatest God in the existance of the world...their world. Thats all they need to know. Now We are blessed with a 'Dear Leader' ....

  • @Blogengezer "Progressive Nationalist-Socialism is indoctrinated into the children and the University only has to hone the concept" You prove my point on his historically ignorant most conservatives are. Real NAZI traits: - anti immigration - blamed immigrants for econoic problems - very Christian - had leader quote Christian stuff all the time - used Christianity for justification - outlawed labor unions - had laws on who could marry - hated gay people Just like CONSERVATIVES today.
  • @ rastafaripoet, I think you may be confused on Jesus Christ's middle initial. I don't think he had one, but do you know who has that very middle initial? Joe FREAKING Biden! Kudos to Crowder for this and all his other vlogs.

  • This is so dumb it's not even funny.

If anyone thinks this video hasn't been doctored to the point of unrecognizability, then they are... in his words, an "idiot."

  • rastafaripoet, honestly your name says it all. gtfo.

  • ... What kind of onesided crap is this?...

People actually think this video is legit? Wth is happening to America? Jesus F. Christ.

  • Sean Hannity is one of my favorite Americans!

  • Berkley is a mass arm pit of lowlife panzies! Liberals that could not mow there own lawn!

  • they don't teach US history anymore, really - abraham lincoln isn't part of high school education anymore

  • except.... American History?

Maybe it's the poor availability of quality education to everyone...

    OH WAIT!

    That's socialism I forgot.

    Shit I'm stumped

  • i could do this and make harvard kids look stupid
