  • That is sweet. I'd like to try making goblets, but what size torch do you need would a midrange do the trick?

  • @freespace4u2 yes, a midrange can do the job.-)

  • @acroduster very cool thanks

  • thanks for the the vid!!

  • the intro was sick.

  • What torch(es) are you working on? Is that a Barracuda on top of PM2D?

  • that is correct!-) its a custom system, I designed the mounts, assembled it all, built the foot pedals.... I am no longer in this studio, as I moved to the Coast and am still rebuilding my studio, its functional at this point, but it still has a long way to go.-) I am really addicted to glass! does it show? I love my bethlehems! they make me smile!-)

  • you are extremely skilled my friend, cant wait to see some more videos. ive learned alot!

  • new vids on glass are coming very soon, within the first weeks of march, everything got put on hold with my art when we moved. but now the time is near to return to my life work.

  • You make great videos. I'm finding out there is a lot I don't know. This is just great. Thanks!

  • my vids have been dark and missing dynamic range ever since I sent my full size camera to get it repaired, and I have been using a little 3 chip sd camera with 1/6 inch chips, it needs way more light than I am giving it. but it is getting videos up and that makes me happy. so I will wait patiently until I can use my baby again!

  • hay i like the your gob. also i like this video how you had written naration with the double time play back.. very cool and awsome tech but what is the 'beeswax' and 'goblet jacks'?

  • jacks are the tool I used to open the top and wall of the goblet top, they are basically a large set of very soft touch tweezers, with not texture on the tongs, and the beeswax is melted onto the jack blades between uses, to season the steel of the jacks and make them slide all silky smooth across the surface of the glass. if you fail to beeswax the blades they will get sticky and start to screw up your work.
