nice restoration and good to see this stude doing just what it is supposed to be doing !!!...actually being used as a truck and hauling whatever needs to be hauled !!!
Owned a 1952 R half ton back in 1970. Known as the " Mouse House" seemed like every time I opened a door they'd come running out from under the cowl. Great Job! Keep 'em working.
Thanks for posting! Nice to see a previous orphan getting some attention. Also glad your still using it for it's intended purpose, working for a living. I'm working on a Willys pickup that has been sitting for 10 years myself.
Did they make a dump-truck version of these? My grandfather had one much that same color and body style, but I dont remember much about it, I was very young when he passed away and many portion of my memories of him and his farm vehicles are gone.
man i love it when people fix up old thing and use them for what they were ment to do! i have a 1975 jeep cj 5 i dont use it as a trailor queen ! i 4 wheelit hard everyday!
Wow! It's hard to believe that is the same '49Stude! You did one heck of a frame up restoration on the Studebaker 2R16 farm truck! Looks like it could give another 30 or 40 years of service with no problems!

That's what I call a "green vehicle". I mean dang, what's more enviromentally responsible than putting old metal back on the road.

Glad to see it actually being used after restoration. Too many cars in it's previous state get restored and just sit for eternity in museums.

they were not appreciated. There were no better vehicles made.

Was the red or off white/grey the original color? Either way you did a hell of a job. And put it back to work to. Just the way it should be.

It's totally cool that you restored that truck, and even cooler that you're actually using it to haul stuff around. Great video!

Good job on truck - Again Best protection
for that Engine -30 wt VALVOLINE racing oil
NAPA has it or can be placed on order -any
engine prior to 1990 will benifit from this
High metals content -ZDDP - 1,800ppm - a must
have for older engines - we have 55plus years
engine rebuild service -and valvoline is best
protection - just change every Season - is best- plus a little Marvel in fuel 4-5 oz
per 10 gal of fuel - Again good to see a
Great farm truck back in Action..
