I do not necessarily disagree with the idea of using cannabis. I do not agree either. It would not be a bad try. But the law is still clear on that one. (In Arkansas)
one thought i had while watching some of the autism videos i had was are u pumping these kids full of pharmaceutical drugs? Are they really helping? I know in some states they treat behaviors with a natural plant called cannabis. I know cannabis is traditionally smoked and may not be most ideal in younger children. There are now methods now where you can eat it baked in a treat or sprays under the tongue. What do you think about this?
No actually he is not "pumped" full of pharmaceutical drugs. he is a misconception that children like Isaiah are "drugged", he is not. Having lived through the sixties myself I am a huge fan of Cannabis. However I do not chose to participate in the use of illegal drugs and would rather not sedate my children. There are adverse affects with the use of Cannabis as with any drug. The key to helping children "like" Isaiah is knowledge. I do however "sometimes" wonder if...
i dont think that you should just sedate the children either. I just think that a "treat" with cannabis would just mearly take the edge off the symptons of autism not cure it completely. and 100 percent agree knowledge is power and key to over coming anything. just y i thought i would comment.

i feel like we are stuck in a rut being tossed back and forth...i just want to know either way, so it is not constantly in the back of my mind. is he on the spectrum..is he not...it just seems like he has so many other things going on for him NOT to be on the spectrum ya know...beautiful song by the way, i have it on the myspace i made for Silas..:)

All these years I thought we didn't know someone with autism and she has it. My heart is still breaking but I will survive. "Baby Mine" is our special song. Could you tell me who sings this version, it is so beautiful that I want to get it. I don't know what my daughter's future will be but all of us are not in this battle alone.
It is sung by Allison Krauss. I also have a son with autism. He's 10. He also has ADHD. It is very hard trying to raise him. He was so physically abusive to his my 12 year old daughter, she asked me to let her stay with her grandparents. I agreed. She is still around every weekend. I have tried so many methods to calm him when he's upset. It just depends on what upset him in the first place. I wish you all the luck in the world.
We do not have the abuse problem here. He does sometimes hit himself thou. It is hard, I am always just to tired. It can be the best day and I am full of energy and BOOM!
