  • GOD DAM THATS SWEET

  • im curious, how much HP could you get from an old 1971 engine without turbos and without breaking it?

  • @machone7I

Depends on what you've got to work with, 550-600 HP is easy with the 460 blocks. d1ve blocks can go to about 800 hp but you're REALLY pushing your luck at that point. The '79 and newer 460 blocks are a bit stronger and can go as far as 1000 hp, but that costs a LOT of money

  • @torkair72torino im particulaty interested in the '67 428 CuIn and in the 351 Cleveland (1971)

  • @machone7I

I don't know much about the 428 FE motors, or FE motors in general as they are a rich "kids" play thing. The 351 Cleveland can go pretty far, about 600-650 HP is really pushing the US blocks past their limitsthe Aussie blocks can do about 700 hp all motor because they are cast a tiny bit thicker and have more nickel in them.

  • @torkair72torino oh well, the 428 imaiming for is the one in a '67 thunderbird. there are australian 351Cs? probably from falcons, right?

  • @torkair72torino sorry for double comment, but could you answer the question you already answered but with those sepcific engines? (if you know something about them)

  • torque gets it rolling ; horsepower keeps it rolling !

  • TORQUE IS ALL YOU NEED.

  • nope
