Just for the Record I work at a GMC and Buick Dealership and Z71 does not mean it is automatically 4X4. It is just a suspension package. There is also a Z85 suspension package. But now you have can buy the Z71 offroad suspension and 4X4 separately or together. The sticker has to say 4X4 under Z71 unless the owner has made it tht way after buying the vehicle. I work at Crown Buick GMC in Metarie, Louisiana if u don't believe me.

Thanks man! The lift is the Fabtech 6", which nets a total of 8". Tires are Procomp xtreme mud terrains in a 35"

@muska656 z71 is the better buy dude, its got the better suspention under it vs the 4x4. Z71 is meant for off road, and yes, z71 is infact equipt with 4x4.... i know so because i have one sitting in front of my house, also have a regular 4x4.

Thanks man! Yes, I re-geared to 4.88's and also swapped the g80 for a Detroit truetrac. 14 bolt is my next upgrade though. Anyway, the 3.73's weren't too bad. It was def slugish on take offs but from 25+ the truck pulled well. The 4.88's are fuggin awesome though! I love the way it drives now!

I wish! I didn't plan on lifting this one so I went with the 1500. I have plans to beef up the transmissin and replace the rear axle with a 14 bolt which is considerably stronger.
