Your average everyday American is complacent and just cant be bothered, it's like an imposition to them to speak out or get off their arses and say 'hey STOP this bullshit war right now'. From the conversations I've had with some Americans they don't know a lot about the war, they just get blindly led and think they cant change anything anyway. They have no 'get up and go' unless it involves accumulating more possessions for themselves.
I can understand your anger. I feel it, too. Our media has been so pro-war, you would hardly believe it. If they decide to even cover an anti-war protest, they bend over backwards to find some group of counter protesters holding "we support the troops" signs. Smear us with "you're not supporting the troops if you protest the war". It's truly disgusting to experience this.
