The Fat slot drive wasn't *crap* at all, AFAIK, it may have been of somewhat lower quality than say a Mac HDD slot, however realize that Sony use to LOSE over $200 on each PS3 sold, and the fats overall had *EXTREMELY* high build quality, glad to hear you still think this is well built though, or even better built.

I've been trying to get a PS3 slim, but I cant find it anywhere, so, I ended up buying a refurbished PS3 fat. I figured, since I got the phat PS3, at least I got linux....unfortunately, Sony decided to pull a fast one, and removed linux support.

Get PS3 for exclusives and single player games. But don't get it for multi-player games. 360 is much better for online, both the connection and the players. I have MW2 for both the PS3 and 360 and the players on the PS3 are complete noobs (most not all). 90% of them use commando.

I mean, just by comparison, you'll see that most of the people that buy a PS3 buy it because it's got free online, blu-ray player, upgradeable HDD. It's a nice multimedia machine, but not so much for the hardcore gamer. It's not really a problem with the system, but it;s just the nature of the beast. It's got casual written all over it.

You just really love that game to have it on two systems.
