I bought the Wii verson after it came out and the picture look bad and tring to play he game with Wii remote or the pro contoller is hard for some reson. After geting the xbox verson I seem to be way better at it.

Despite that NO JAMES BAND GAME can ever beat the N64 version of Goldeneye. I thought Goldeneye for the Wii was a very awesome sudo-remake of the game. Adds on a lot of things and minor changes in the story, but not too much so that it doesn't have the same feel. My only complaint was just the idea of not having Pierce Brosnan play James like the original. Would that be so hard to ask is to keep him in the spot for Goldeneye? It's a nice little switch to Daniel Craig, but Pierce is better for it

@SliverMonstrosityInc I agreed, I didn't like how Activision make Xenia not quite attractive as the one in the movie, and she didn't have her thunder thiegh characteristic. She doesn't even look like a Bond girl at all. Also if EA was able to bring back Sean Connery for From Russia with Love, it wouldn't have been that difficult for Activision to bring back Brosnan to voice and lend face to this game.

@mdo7 Yeah it doesn't make too much sense. Pierce was the face of that James Bond film. It was his first shot at James Bond and succeeded with flying colors and kept the ball rolling. His face was plastered on the game along with the name Goldeneye, which he was rightfully due to that plastering. Respect that yo. lol.

You know, i'm kinda pissed about this. In the trailer for GoldenEye 007 for the wii, it said, and i quote, "Exclusively for the Wii". If that is so, then what the fuck is this?! They always have to make the craptacular, sucky version for the wii and the good quality, high-def, dramatic effect one for the XBox 360 and the PS3. All I have to say is...what the hell. I think I speak for every wii owner when I say that we feel cheated that Eurocom would do this to us.

I don't see any problem with this, it help sell the game more on other console.

@rafaeldrake14 Well the Wii can't handle what the PS3 and 360 can. The Wii is basically has the same hardware as the Gamecube, but with motion controls. The Wii is so weak compared to the PS3 and 360 that is has to tone down the graphics ten fold and it STILL does not get 60fps; maybe about 20-30fps. It's all about hardware. It's all about what the system can handle, and with an average $140 price tag, you get what you paid for.

I have all 3 consoles which make this hard, but I may get it on the wii for several reasons. I dont have move or kinect, theres already many competing FPS on those consoles I could get instead, facial expressions looks better on the wii and using the Wii controller will change the experience a bit I'm use to. Awesome game! Have it for Wii and thinking about getting it for Xbox. Though the Wii one seems to move faster( as in frame rates) than the hd version. And frame rates and gameplay come before graphics, as mentioned earlier.

The character models and levels are pretty much polygonally the same. The only real differences are the textures, and graphical effects. Take all that away, and they'd be almost identical.

I've been playing games since I was 5 and I still think the Odyssey 2 is still an awesome game system. Graphic just make a game look prettier not funner, and GoldenEye on the Wii is a very fun game to play. Game play over graphics any day bro no doubt. Heck the Saturn is still my favorite system.

Call me nuts, and im a PS3 fan. But if uping he graphics that much degrades movement and Frames, I would rather have it look like the Wii version. Movement and frames first more me. Great comparison. Looks like the new HD version got all new textures and an entire new engine (water, lighting all very different). This was a really good game in Wii. Now it may get the wider audience it deserves. I am tempted to re-play this in HD but I think it should have been a bargain game (20-30) and not a full priced game.

With the amount of features missing in the Wii version, its a new rendering pipeline in many ways. So, it may be based on a later version of the same tech, because those features could not be used by the Wii hardware, it pretty much a "new" version of the game graphically.
