TC has been the most influential..... and has made the most impact on my mechanical talent and riding ability. it has been a great treasure to know him and I look forward to many more good times...............The Farmer
It is overdue...that the acomplishments of John & TC will be immotalized in this Documentary. I first met TC and John in the late sixties while I was racing a single engine Norton Dragbike. We became very good friends, and still maintain that friendship, with both of them, today. Their acomplishments are legendary. In 1987,TC rode my Norton dragster to a National win at an IDBA meet in Birmingham , Alabama, setting both E.T. and MPH records.
I can't wait to see the Documentry in it's entirety!
I had to privilege racing at many races when T.C. was there and Tom Loughlin JR. I know them both and they really helped raise the level of bike dragracing. I am proud to have known them and have raced with them. I took a fantastic picture of T.C. once at Union Grove and made him a big copy I hope he still has it Those were the fun days before all these electronics and super fast street bikes you had to build them..
Fantastic this bike was my hero as a little kid, still a Norton Loyalist today. the video is awesome good to see that those two really are still alive, . Long may the legend continue, cant wait to get a copy of the documentary, really should do a 500 page coffee table book too. throw in some footage of Ron Woods Dirt track Nortons, while your at it, start a whole new film--"-American Norton Racers"
Growing up in kenosha in the 70's.He was a hero to alot of us kids. We talked about him alot.I used to pretend i was him when we would drag race are bicycles.I was 0nly 9(1975)Kids used their imaginations then. Now they never leave the house
Thx for the comment. Yes, although there were several versions of the Hogslayer, the version that achieved the major championships is at the National Motorcycle Museum in the UK. Please visit this brilliant museum including the beloved Hogslayer.
You dont know how proud I am to have had John Gregory on my event tech and national advisory staf for the DRAGBIKE! Magazine National Championship Series, AMA DRAGBIKE! and DRAGBIKE! USA.. His expertise made the sport safer for the masses..and was a real hoot for company..Jody too. TC and he were a gentlemanly team. (and they won.) Sportsmanship is big with me. My photo is the one used in the depiction of the crash..roll over.
