Cross grinding every skate... a great way to either burn the blade or have to replace it way quicker! Plus using a guide to see if the skate is even, bush league! Eye is the best way, check after every couple passes and this way you will grind way less metal and save the contour (old name=rockering) of the blade.

Well, using eyes is no good for being accurate. And when you get to a higher league other then recreational, you might care that the blade is nice and square, Although you may never play high enough levels to care. Although i must say i was not impressed with the rocket runner. The small distance of blade allowed slush to build up and freeze on the blade and create you to slip. So i stick with the best, my Carbon Fibre T'Blades M9.
