This was brilliant. I imagine that it would cost a fortune, but can you imagine a series done in this style? This sequence is probably the most visually refined piece of western animation ever made just for a TV series.

I especially liked hos much the Herbert looked exactly like his normal self, only with top-notch animation.

There was no mention in the credits of any outside animation studio, and the number of credited animators only went up slightly.The only difference that I noted was the overseas director wasn't Douglass. instead, it was a guy with an oriental name. Then the claymation credits, but that's it.
