Thank you for listening and commenting. The instrument originally had extremely shallow key dip, virtually unplayable. After consultation with Jim Christie I was able to persuade Gary Blaise to hammer the tangents in further to increase the key dip, and the sonority! After all, clavichords were a practice instrument for organists before electric blowers and heated churches. The key dip should, I am convinced, be similar to that of a borstwerk. So it is in this clavichord!
First, congratulations on producing a video in which one can actually see something ( thanks to your lighting) and hear the clavichord (not so easy). Secondly, thank you for drawing attention to this beautiful music, beautifully played - I have been meaning to play some Cabezon for a while and you reinforce the intention. And Happy Christmas!
