I can't wait to see how Deantoni works drums with some of the more technical older work, mainly that off Bedlam. Pridgeon was probably my least favourite TMV drummer creatively, but technically I don't think we can dispute that he's the best.
I absolutely love Deantoni's technical and dynamic style of drumming (just check out ORLG - Doitashimashite) but I'm disappointed in how he is with TMV so far. He's not really explosive and seems to be mellowing out some parts where it should be goin' off! (playing the chorus of Inertiatic ESP on the hi-hat!!)
They seem to have slowed all the old songs down too which is also a shame.
It would seem no one can replicate the stage presence of Theodore or Pridgen, they've lost a bit of stage power!
@PourAnotherIcepick Its what they want. Its all Omar. Just be happy he's doing his thing. I'd much rather hear Inertiatic once a week with a different drummer each time than hear Theodore or Pridgen over and over again. And if I ever do wanna go back to the old days, well that's what records and videos are for.
@juangodfrid He wasn't really kicked out, he was only a temporary replacement for Pridgen in the first place. Deantoni himself started very similarly as a mid-tour replacement for Blake Fleming. Also, Elitch is a hell of a drummer, it's kind of hard to say resolutely that Parks is better -- at this skill level, it's all preference.
i hope when they come back to the states they do others from deloused, maybe some take the veil or roulette dares... i canonly hope. see you guys at red rocks!!
@lesclaylistnr For 2011 tour the setlist will be pretty static I believe. The Widow, Goliath, Son et Lumiere and the rest will be new songs off the upcoming record. Cedric stated in an interview that about 80% of the tour will be new content so that sounds about right :)

Vocals are incredible, Cedric hasn't lost anything and can still sing Deloused-era songs from 8 years ago that's damned impressive.
