  • i just watched the whole video..it was awful..this 25 second clip is it as far as interviews....the rest is repetitive and almost sad....when he repeats the story about the ukelele and guitar school...cringe....who edited this thing??his tone was terrible i hate the thing he does with the other amp set an octave lower, sounds like poo. leslie talks alot about tone now, but i just dont hear it anymore....that being said i still have to see the sound and story....looks much much better....

  • @jones12a it seems that alot of the younger guys go out of there way to find and record with vintage gear, but all these guys from the 60s and 70s use alot of new generic sounding crap nowadays....leslie needs to go sunn shopping if you ask me......depper dont get pissed off lol

love leslie hope hes doing ok after his amputation

  • Just read your comment Gillianfan about Leslie's current state of health. Leslie's inner circle was devastated, however they immediately banded together to support him. He has an amazing loving circle of family, friends, and fans. He's been a lion, we all are amazed by his ability to recover. Leslie's lost a ton of weight, and beaten obesity, drugs, cancer. Hes an influence in far more than just his world renowned guitar tone & vibrato. That story is being told everyday that passes.

  • Wheres the rest of it!? :)

    Great stuff!!!

  • Talking about bad short-term memory - my wife finally had a brush with fame when she got bonked in the head by Corky’s drumstick that he threw to the crowd after their encore of “Mississippi Queen [GRIN]. What’s really funny is she was in her mid-fifties before having her first “R&R moment.” A few months back she had another “R&R moment” as she got a guitar pick from Gregg Allman when he was touring behind his new “Low Country Blues” album.

  • Mississippi Queen is, in fact, a quintessential hard rock tune. I saw Mountain a couple of years ago (maybe 3 yrs - my aging memory sucks) as a three piece with Leslie West, Corky Laing on drums, and a younger (unknown to me) bassist that just did not seem to fit in. Can't remember his name but he looked like one of those 1980s "Hair Band" dudes. With that said, they really kicked ass as a warm up act for the mighty DEEP PURPLE as the main attraction.
