I'm using a mere MC 303 for drums, bass, and such, and a Xio for leads. I got my hands on an old Korg DSS-1, though, witch is awesome.

Hi, Its good to here that I can buy the cd, but being a newbie, I aint sure what the Syngate side is. Also got a small question, Is that a automated mixer/recorder? as I'm, looking for something to get me out of using the PC for recording. By the time I've set it up, it either crashes, or I've fogotten what I wanted to do in the first place. Plus my guitar amplifies the monitors Hum, So I want to go hardware.

are the synths in the mc808 anything different than the ones that are in the Juno-G and Fantom series?

Roland boasts about old vintage synths in it, but really, isn't it the same engine as the Fantom series?

I wouldn't mind owning it for live audio stretching and looping though.

That is absolutely amazing. I have been a huge fan of old school berlin since the mid seventies and to hear someone keeping up the tradition in such excellent style is brilliant. It's just a shame the originators (TD) aren't still doing this stuff. This is timeless.
