No, I won't be followoing or stalking Keanu. Just this won my respect. We all express ourselves differently.

He summed it up... just ordered some fresh bluray copies of this. I was hoping that after all this time there might be some wide open discussions from the Wachowski's on their development of these, but it looks like no.
I guess they think that it's all there in the work, oh well.
I seriously don't get why people hate Keanu, he well spoken, pretty mild-mannered and he seems to be a very organic and down to earth person. The man is awesome
@bbutters2 I think he gets hate because he's an enormously successful actor without enormous acting chops. Most of the movies he's been in, he's been great, but that's because they didn't require allot of range.
Add all that to the fact that when he talks, he looks and sounds like a surfer (which bounces of the the "surfers are dumb" stereotype).. and there you have it, hate for a man named Keanu Reeves.
I don't hate him though. Speed and The Matrix are a couple of the most classic action.
There are some very interesting discussions on this issue out on the net. "The Matrix could be described as an infringement of the bible." I thought about this a lot, actually. That all literature in one way or another "steals" from the Bible, basically. It's got everything. Life, death, resurrection. Vice and virtue. Punishment and reward. Then again, isn't Western society (at least) and its ideals just based on morals of Christianity? How can we escape that? Our way of thinking is determined..
@chubbyfacejohn I don't know. I think people are escaping the prisons of indoctrinated thought. I was 16 when I decided that I preferred doubt over belief, because it's more reasonable, and it makes the search for truth more exciting. If you have expectations and beliefs, and it's proven wrong, all you feel is disappointment and frustration. Morality can be gathered from books like The Bible (preferably not the Old Testament), and the teachings of Buddha, which is what I go with.
Yes ethics are conditioned and throughout recent history, the bible has been the forge for this conditioning. Despite this, morality remains ambiguous and even the most intelligent people kill over who has the 'right' ethics. IMO one's morality, when not held dogmatically, is only partial to one's perspective or 'way of thinking'.
However, I do agree that our 'way of thinking' is determined or more accurately, conditioned. To escape this one must discard all absolute belief
But I am aware of problems of plagiarism because it happens all the time. And everyone whose work gets stolen from, naturally is pissed off about it. Who wouldn't be? Original stories are better anyway.
Amazon: "Star Wars was written in 1974 and released in 1977, two years before [The Third Eye was written] and four years before [it was copyrighted]. I can totally understand what he says about the Matrix. He is the one who understood the Matrix/Neo the best.
@MikSane That last guy was rude. He's just talking about the different themes present in the Matrix when he first read the script. And he's absolutely right. All that stuff is in there. If you actually haven't seen them, I recommend them.
But for an actor labeled " no smiling, few talking" he is really surfing on his discourse.
And the velocity (magnitude and direction), meaning speed of that discourse, the passion he speaks, are for me signs that he, even looking down his right, he is living that , not just reading a text.

It just fantasizes me that people don't research and don't know the exact origins of the movie. People don't know about "Cyberpunk", they don't know about "William Gibson" , ....
@MSfainello No silly it has components of the original authentic religion of the first peoples here...Africans. I know you can't fathom that and it's okay. What I want you to know is that those people he named plus hundreds more took bits a pieces of the original African way. So it's not a coincidence that this came from a black oracle herself. If you research aol interviews with a Wichowski, you will quickly see they are a fake. They don't answer any of the philisophical questions.
Con't #2 - If they (Wichowski's) wrote it then they should get it, right? Well they didn't. In fact, they had to consult an African-American theology professor for an explanation. They stole her story & comic & used it to profit off of. It was a big cover up. They kept her in court for over ten years but low & behold she finally saw justice. The FBI got involved and now she's sitting pretty with the copywrites & trademarks to her story. Look it up baby. Africa is the mojo that everybody wants.
Con't #3 - But look at it this way: The story got out there. Now we are made better by it. The Wichowski's can direct a film. They did "Bound" and directed the Matrix. However, it's a joke to think that two boneheads not unlike Bevis & Butthead that are into comics, Sadomasichism and bondage is responsible for something that requires this grouping of intellects. Keanu recites what his reading experience has helped him to recognize. It proves even he's more educated than the Wichowski's.
Con't #4 -Carrie Anne Moss says she didn't get it at first. However, Laurence Fishburn says that he got it right away & couldn't understand why others did not. Well Larry Fishburne has AFrican DNA. When I saw it I recognized Hermeticism, Eygptian Philosphy & African Practice & ideals. But leave it up to colonialism, imperialism, & domination of the European, they seem to shit on everything they don't understand. Just like they did in the invasion of Greece. Like the Wichowski' they are thieves.
@filmtress I believe that she is the mind behind this movie .... when I heard her speak here on youtube so I knew that I found the person behind the Matrix
@NeoInfernAlis Congratulations. You my dear are a head of many. That's what usually does it. When you hear her explain the path of Neo his coming into his own and his final awakening it becomes obvious. It also explains her other work in the Terminator Trilogy. She explains in less than 10 complete sentences more than what the Wichowski's do in all of their interviews. When she first filed her lawsuit, did you know that tried to stop her from talking about it via an injunction? Pitiful.
@MSfainello - At first I typed out a few books recommending that you read them (Egyptian Book of the Dead, Ancient Future, The Egyptian Hermes, etc.) But when I looked up Gibson, he wrote a book called "Agrippa Book of the Dead" then I knew he so copied the sages, Moors, Mystics, Wizards, end of story.
@blacktopaz8 I used to think of him as "just a random actor", just an actor like any other actor. I refused to watch the Matrix trilogy for over 7 years. I watched it in February this year, trying to get rid off some of my prejudices. I was fascinated, yet I cannot explain my fascination. I see people slagging off either the trilogy or Keanu as an actor on a daily basis. I think about it for a moment and I see no reason to agree with the hate.
@chubbyfacejohn He's a shitty actor who really doesn't move me at all. I wonder how he could move anyone except maybe he gives someone a boner or makes one wet. He's hot. That's it. He has the emotional range of a musket pre-civil war. He's one-dimentional.
@cooldude0308 I'm not sure whether I agree. Not completely at least. Of course he wanted to make the audience agree with him, but at the same time he seems to really believe what he says.
he is the Only megastar that does what he wants to performe.
Bravo! Keannu, for that you're stand versus we, hungry fans. And versus producers and presions, you're playing only what you like and you consieder meaningfull for you and the rest.
@TheMara61 Actors playing the roles they really want to is a really rare thing. Especially those who give most of the money they earned away. Not because he wants to seem generous, I think he just doesn't care about it that much and instead decides to do something for the better, even if it is just little things.
Oh the Matrix? Sofia Stewart, the gifted Rainbow Child (I believe from Brooklyn) who wrote the manuscript! Who knew? Funny how often the world plays down, and doesn't know about true VIP history, and original creators creating crazy cool creations!! Smokebelch/New Age Faith anyone?
Yeah I already commented...so what. Just wanna point out that you don't need a university degree, or even a college degree, to be smart and well spoken. I'm proud he's Canadian, or at least grew up with that expressive and open-minded Canadian mentality.
@H0useMouse Your comment is very valid. I hate people who believe people with college degrees are smarter or even worth more than those who don't have a degree. I dig his mentality, too. Well, whatever. I'll just leave other people their preconceptions, even if it makes me sad. A lot of people spend their whole lives in their own subjective and hateful worlds.
Don't forget orgasmic, because it certainly was for me. It was a mind orgasm that just blew my imagination up like one of those instant snow packs...you know where you add water to this tiny vial of powder and it expands to something like 100 times its size...I love how expressive Keanu is, very Canadian of him :D
When he was younger, I always thought he was good looking, but a bit boring, but he definetely gets better with age.I have not seen many of his movies, but I thought Constatine was pretty good, and of course My own private Idaho.
@CF1975 I never really cared about his looks, not before I actually watched movies he has starred in. ^^ I think I also thought he looked pretty boring... Constantine and My Own Private Idaho are some of his best films, in my opinion. He's a pretty cool Constantine. And an amazing Neo.
@calmsnowfall Common conceptions of things are not always the best thing to refer to. I mean... Twilight was pretty successful, but it's just straight-forward Mormon propaganda. He is a diverse actor, even if the films did not turn out well. He's starred in some pretty bad films like Chain Reaction and the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, but quite often the films he has starred in are not conventional average Hollywood shit.
keanu. keanu. keanu sitting in the park. alone. looking sad. so sad! sandwich. the sandwich. the sanwich was looking quite dull. you could tell it needed a little mayo. he's not the only one! he's not the only one who really wishes he had...mayo. mayo. mayo with him in the park. you know, so he won't be sad. so sad!
@Truthhurts3pm of course. if a person doesnt believe in illuminati by now then they are in irreversable denial and need clinical help. check us out on facebook. search M.D.M.A. :)
@johnnyanomaly I agree. I am still trying to find the best way to open the common persons mind into allow at least an open mind when researching information. Trial and error. Out of the 100 people I have talked to in person 12 people said they will research more into...havent heard back from them and 3 people understand and believed it after just a few short videos. The rest and majority out right would not even veiw the information and casted out any chance at looking at information. Not good.
@PhillyGirl1 His career choices aside from The Matrix and some 1 or 2 ohter movies have been bad to worse AND we've never ever seen him in a truly compelling and provocative role. He might be a great actor, but I've never seen him show it.
@HalfLifeHalfDead Yeah, he was such a bad Scott Favor. Anyone could have played that better than him... (not). I can think of several films off the top of my head. A Scanner Darkly, My Own Private Idaho, Constantine, even Johnny Mnemonic, also Point Break and the Bill and Ted films, even though I expected them to be bad. Because people like to discredit the Bill and Ted films... I just thought it fit the way he did it.
@chubbyfacejohn You give as an example a film where he rarely changes expression, a B movie, an immature and ridiculous (in a good way) comedy, a so-bad-it's-good comic book movie where he rarely has to do anything than keep a bad-ass expression and talk with a bad-ass voice... In which movie exactly does he play a challenging role with any dramatic depth whatsoever?
@meginis8 ok i know you don't know much about cinema/movies so let me break it down for you.... being in lots of movies does not make you a great actor :) sorry
After wtachin the makings of the matrix movies I was surprised at how deeply Keanu goes into understanding the things that happen in movies he acts in.
@MarkArandjus Yeah, it was definitely interesting to watch this. He really tried to fully understand what he was doing. And he likes the same things about Neo Anderson and the Matrix films that I do.
You know what? I am not a "fan" type person, not for any particular reason. Once in a rare time I will take a liking to some artist or another though. Not that it matters at all, I know. His response here has definetly changed my mind about him. Kool dude!

"The Matrix could be described as an infringement of the bible." This is a very naive understanding.
Almost all of the ideologies expressed directly or indirectly in the bible are 'stolen'.
One of the greatest contributors to biblical ideology was Plato, who coincidently is one of the greatest contributors to The Matrix.

I respect Keanu as an actor, and as a man. He's honest! Wish him more roles to come!

WTF is he talking about?
tjbarrie 1 year ago
keanu is just a guy people think is handsome. That's why he's famous. That's it. Ok? We get it now?
blacktopaz8 1 year ago
@blacktopaz8 I used to think of him as "just a random actor", just an actor like any other actor. I refused to watch the Matrix trilogy for over 7 years. I watched it in February this year, trying to get rid off some of my prejudices. I was fascinated, yet I cannot explain my fascination. I see people slagging off either the trilogy or Keanu as an actor on a daily basis. I think about it for a moment and I see no reason to agree with the hate.
chubbyfacejohn 7 months ago
@chubbyfacejohn He's a shitty actor who really doesn't move me at all. I wonder how he could move anyone except maybe he gives someone a boner or makes one wet. He's hot. That's it. He has the emotional range of a musket pre-civil war. He's one-dimentional.

He is a good actor but he's really making this shit up as he went here just to please the audience.
cooldude0308 1 year ago
@cooldude0308 I'm not sure whether I agree. Not completely at least. Of course he wanted to make the audience agree with him, but at the same time he seems to really believe what he says.

he is the Only megastar that does what he wants to performe.
Bravo! Keannu, for that you're stand versus we, hungry fans. And versus producers and presions, you're playing only what you like and you consieder meaningfull for you and the rest.
TheMara61 1 year ago
@TheMara61 Actors playing the roles they really want to is a really rare thing. Especially those who give most of the money they earned away. Not because he wants to seem generous, I think he just doesn't care about it that much and instead decides to do something for the better, even if it is just little things.

This interview is his best role.

H0useMouse 1 year ago 4

H0useMouse 1 year ago 4
When he was younger, I always thought he was good looking, but a bit boring, but he definetely gets better with age.I have not seen many of his movies, but I thought Constatine was pretty good, and of course My own private Idaho.
CF1975 1 year ago 3
@CF1975 I never really cared about his looks, not before I actually watched movies he has starred in. ^^ I think I also thought he looked pretty boring... Constantine and My Own Private Idaho are some of his best films, in my opinion. He's a pretty cool Constantine. And an amazing Neo.

Keanu Reeves is fucking awful. You people should stop trying to defend him. He is commonly regarded as one of the worst actors alive.
calmsnowfall 1 year ago
@calmsnowfall at least he's hot.
superanimeniac 1 year ago
@calmsnowfall Common conceptions of things are not always the best thing to refer to. I mean... Twilight was pretty successful, but it's just straight-forward Mormon propaganda. He is a diverse actor, even if the films did not turn out well. He's starred in some pretty bad films like Chain Reaction and the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, but quite often the films he has starred in are not conventional average Hollywood shit.

Not good.

what makes him a bad actor? honestly, it seems like he does the work like any other actor, what makes him so bad?
PhillyGirl1 1 year ago 6
@PhillyGirl1 He's a great actor, people are just stupid (well, some of them).
jedimaster303 1 year ago
@PhillyGirl1 His career choices aside from The Matrix and some 1 or 2 ohter movies have been bad to worse AND we've never ever seen him in a truly compelling and provocative role. He might be a great actor, but I've never seen him show it.
HalfLifeHalfDead 1 year ago
@HalfLifeHalfDead Yeah, he was such a bad Scott Favor. Anyone could have played that better than him... (not). I can think of several films off the top of my head. A Scanner Darkly, My Own Private Idaho, Constantine, even Johnny Mnemonic, also Point Break and the Bill and Ted films, even though I expected them to be bad. Because people like to discredit the Bill and Ted films... I just thought it fit the way he did it.
chubbyfacejohn 7 months ago
@chubbyfacejohn You give as an example a film where he rarely changes expression, a B movie, an immature and ridiculous (in a good way) comedy, a so-bad-it's-good comic book movie where he rarely has to do anything than keep a bad-ass expression and talk with a bad-ass voice... In which movie exactly does he play a challenging role with any dramatic depth whatsoever?
HalfLifeHalfDead 7 months ago
@PhillyGirl1
The fact that he has NEVER played a convincing character or one with any depth whatsoever.

@MarkArandjus Yeah, it was definitely interesting to watch this. He really tried to fully understand what he was doing. And he likes the same things about Neo Anderson and the Matrix films that I do.
