Having done a co-op as an engineering student at GE, I can honestly say that they are the worst company I have ever had contact with. Jack Welch set up a corporate climate of back-stabbing and forced ranking that made for a terrible working environment. Their appliances are some of the worst made around, because GE doesn't invest anything in them. Their best washer and dryer are made by LG, not GE. I don't even buy GE light bulbs if I can help it.
