@tccoup355 - I'm used to that grip technique because its how I hold all my other handguns. It's the best way that I have found to get a good high tang grip on a handgun, and the only way to get a high tang grip on a 1911 with an ambi safety (my primary carry gun). It also aids as a type of point shooting. Thumbs always pointing straight forward. It's a great grip technique for most of my handguns, but not so much for the M9. :-/
