  • Qinoa is not a grain, it's a seed. Therefore - as you said - it's an amazing substitute for bread, pasta, rise etc.. That also means it's gluten free, but still contains the same vitamines and good things as grains does. (But it does, however, still contain about as many kcalories as them as well, so watch out.)

Just wanted to give that little extra information. : ) Great Video.

  • Ahhh! Thank you Sarah you have helped me lose 10 pounds in one month i love the workouts... THANK YOU!!!

  • Could you please do a video about sodium (not from food more like using sea salt and salt in home made food) and soy? There are so much controversy about it that I am just confused :(

    Thanks

  • @ABeautyAddict Great topic idea! It's on the list for upcoming topics :)

  • thanks!! :D

  • you're cool!

  • like if the wing girls sent you here

  • Urbanathlon looks like fun. I just did Tough Mudder a few weeks ago. What adventure race(s) are you doing next?

  • Great tips! My sisters wedding is this weekend so perfect timing for a video like this lol!

  • Hey Sarah, i love your videos :) since i've been watching ur vids and working out, i've notice a changed in how my abs look and i only started days a week ago..you are the best, in my head you're like my personal trainer...lol.. keep up the good work and Happy Holidays:)

  • @mo239ful Happy to be of service! :) Which video is your favorite?

  • @SarahsFabChannel I like the one where you show how to do crunches standing up that's just one of my favorites :)

  • Hey Sarah, will you be my hot date for the weekend? I can't think of a better way to spend Christmas than with you. ;)

  • @DragonKingGaav haha just tell me when and where and we will see if I can make it.

  • @SarahsFabChannel Well I live in CA, so let me know if your ever in the mood for some sunshine.

  • @SarahsFabChannel You Rock Sarah.!!

  • sarah i have always enjoyed your videos but this one gives bad vibes. why would you encourage us to eat unhealthily for 5 days, just to go on a date and try to pass yourself off as someone you're not? if someone isn't going to like you for you, they aren't worth your time anyway.

  • @KylaLily311 Hi Kayla! It's not "just for a date" it's for any event you want to feel good at. I did this video with "TheWingGirls" who specialize in dating - hence why I say a hot date. I do this for photoshoots. Brides do it for a wedding. Not eating dairy products is something many vegans do regularly. Not eating starchy carbs after 4 is not considered "unhealthy" by professionals. The tips really are not anything "fad" like or unsafe.

  • is it just me or is sarah like a non-swearing, sober version on jenna marbles...

  • @isabellTeresee I will take that as a complement. thank you! haha

  • @isabellTeresee MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!! XDD

  • LOL she's giving tips on how to look slimmer, I don't see the effects 0.o

  • Wing girls :)

  • came here from wg, not interested in the tips cause i dont need it, but its a good sign that you dont have your boops hanging out 2 feet from your top lol

  • @MYRMIDONofTHESSALIAE Thank you I think? haha

  • I've got my own method. DON'T FUCKING EAT!

  • YAY!! Great video. Those things are all so ture!! We need a what I eat in the day video Sarah!!

Oh, how I wish you lived in my city!!

    XX ~ E

  • Great tips Sarah! Thanks for sharing.

  • Do not eat for 5 days. Ok got it.

  • Awesome! Thanks Sarah!!! xoxo

  • Sarah - Another great tip is weight training before eating breakfast. This forces your body to use fat as an energy source. I learned that tip from the Body for Life program.

  • Goodness me - just listen to the video properly before you comment!! She said, it's water weight and those tips she gave are not unhealthy quick fix solutions. Nobody will die from not eating dairy, carbs after 4 pm or exercising for 5 days! It's just to improve your looks a little so you have more confidence for that date. She isn't saying you should continue doing this forever! If it was 5lb of fat you are losing, that wouldn't be healthy - you probably have to starve yourself for this anyway!

  • @thegreenjudy Amen sister! Thank you :)

  • "laughing cow.....loooove it!" :)

    You're awesome Sarah

  • i'm a guy, can't believe the extent woman go for one date. healthy fat loss is like 1-2lbs a week right? so you suggest to lose 3-4lbs of fluid weight on top? i can imagine with the low carbs and loss of fluids you'd feel really tired and groggy. if i was a girl i wouldn't bother with a dude who is this picky about your size. people just sort a healthy nutrition plan out and do sarahs awesome workouts every week to get lean in the long run. you'll look and feel amazing after a couple months...

  • Everyone, you CANNOT & SHOULD not continue this for more than a week!

  • @xXShockSetsInXx I do say that in the video in case you didn't watch the whole thing :)

  • ha yes im lactose intolerant!

  • Hi Sarah, I love watching your videos! I was wondering if you recommend the juice diet though? I was thinking about trying it. Thanks:D

  • @mariam19982010 No, I do not!

  • Thanks! But do you think its oke to eliminate all dairy and bread/oatmeal from my diet? I am following the 17 day diet now, and since I can't eat bread and oatmeal, I have been having a lot of dairy. After watching your video I want to eliminate that too, because I suffer from a lot of water retention. Please let me know what you think :) x

  • @huizenvoorjou No, I do NOT recommend a diet like that at all! Why did you remove oatmeal??? Unless you are lactose intolerant, removing dairy isn't necessary at all. You cannot live on a diet as described in the video for longer than 7 days! It is NOT healthy. The point of the video was for a quick fix, like a date or wedding. It's part of the diet plan - link above - that I follow and it's really not advised to follow longer than 7 days!

  • haha I love laughing cow cheese and greek yogurt too !!! ^-^

  • Great tips Sarah.. Always log on to see if you've put knew video always follow your advice.. Thanks sarah..

  • WoW ! AWESOME :D thanks so much !!!

  • @Inspiration525 I love how U just sharing the true rules :) no BS around !!! GREAT JOB & keep it up !!! we <3 U so much :) your'e wonderful !!!

  • I never usually trust these "quick fix" diet tips(and didn't think Sarah would either. I stick with the longer plans. No eating after 6pm, good protein and fibre rich low sat fat breakfast, lunch and dinners.

  • @MikamiPro this isn't a fat loss diet, and honestly, these tricks DO work. Every time I have a photo shoot, I do this for about 5 days before hand. It makes you look leaner on camera. I gain the weight back the next few days, but I always love the pictures! They are part of the diet plan 7 day slim down from the TIU diet plan - link is above.

  • awesome vid, everything looks great as far as video quality and composite. :)

  • One tip I would give to lose weight in the short term (water weight) is to exercise a lot and eat dinner early and not eat anything after that. DO A LOT OF CARDIO!

  • I watch your videos for healthy ways to lose weight..but this video left a bad taste in my mouth..no cheese, carbs seem like fad diets...very disappointed :/

  • you're so cool. Thanks.

  • Just sat up straight when she started talking about posture... lol.

  • Great Video Sarah!

  • @xnenaxo

    thank you :)

  • Is it okay to have milk with my cereal?

  • @yeri997 Opt for Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk or Coconut Milk :)

  • love u sarah <3

  • This is pretty cool! Thank you for sharing!

  • @xnenaxo

You are right! Almond milk was recommended it as the best substitute for milk by my doctor, it is healthier and delicious too. I didn't know that fact about regular milk though, yuck! I'm glad I don't drink it anymore! >_< BTW, I also have ezcema, and I would like to know what kind of diet you have to control it, may I know? please! I'm currently on the 'raw food' diet.

  • @xnenaxo Gross! I love Almond Milk. I drink a glass at least everyday, I don't really drink milk, whatever milk I get is in my coffee (when I do get some w/ milk, I usually tend to stick with soy milk) or what's in the yogurt.

  • great tips!

  • visit my channel for more tips.

  • Haha, I hardly eat any of those things anyways. I don't eat dairy and I try to be really low on sodium. I do eat carbs though, so I'll keep in mind to lessen the pastas / rices :)

  • Dairy? really? I eat my greek yogurt every morning, should I stop eating that? :/

  • @SNJ03 no of course not! Only if you have an event or date and you want to look leaner - greek yogurt is great for actual weight loss - this just helps lose water weight

  • @SarahsFabChannel Awesome! I do love my Greek Yogurt!

  • I will definitely try this...

  • I can believe your 5 tips. What I can't believe is that you'd ever think that I'd have a hot date. I'm so ugly, YouTube pulls my face vlogs for repulsive content.

  • meant to ask... do artificial sweeteners affect water retention? ty :)

  • @fitnessfreakthree I try to stay away from most - I do like stevia though. I do not feel that stevia does but I do find that the others just make me hungrier and give my headaches - so if you are trying to reduce your calories, they can make it harder to realize when you are actually full.

  • @SarahsFabChannel what do you think about sparkling water? like the kind that supposedly have no calories no sugar no sodium etc, etc.

  • I'm so glad you didn't say drink more water cuz everyone says that... thanks for the tips!! :)

  • do you recommend the beach body insanity workout?

  • thank you 4 the tips... will put them in 2 practice 4 this week :)

  • Sarah I have a question. Me and a friend have this crazy new years resolution, we want to run a half marathon. The one we'll be aiming for is november, but I never ran. Ever. I can run 500 meters max, then I die, right there on the sidewalk. Is it possible to achieve a goal like this? Or is it a little too much perhaps? Should I aim for 5-10k instead? Love you!

  • @GabrielleNeeliene Of course you can but start small. Sign up for a 5K in March/April - use a Couch to 5k program (google that), Try a 10K in the summer. If you have a smart phone, check out the Runners World Smart Coach.

  • I love you Sarah, I really needed this!

  • I love you and your videos! I like to watch them when I'm in need of motivation and just bc lol, thank you and keep it up! I like the green screen by the way :p

  • Wow...very funny but fab tips..thank you tonnes beauty for this x

  • Your background, lighting and sound are great in this video! Great info, too!!!

  • @thehipchickonline thanks! I've been trying really hard haha lol

  • oh thanks for the tips!

  • I have a hot date this weekend. No dairy for moi!

  • @beautysmartie03 sounds like a good idea! I blog about that stuff alot on my site

  • thanks sarah!

  • Being Korean, it's hard for me to not eat rice for dinner. What are some things I can eat after 4pm?

  • @jeh0193 Have you tried shirataki noodles?

  • @SarahsFabChannel No, I haven't...I don't think I've actually heard of them either...

  • i guess that's a plus to being lactose intolerant.. dont have to worry about that lol

  • great video! just a random opinion don't use so much bronzer sarah lol. still love you and admire you just lay off the bronzer just a little.

  • @b3autifulprinc3ss22 haha ok., thanks ;)

  • Where did you film this? Love the tips! I love rice and parm cheese- So hard to give up for an occasion like this! :)

  • @JillHanner in my house! I'm a nerd and transformed my living room on Friday into a studio... took awhile to set up but the lights helped so much!

  • I love you're channel Sarah! You are so helpful.. & I have been watching your videos FOREVER! :)

  • Sarah can you please give tips and show exercises that reduce cellulite or even eliminate it, i'm not overweight at all and I have cellulite in my upper thighs and i'm only 22, what could be causing this

  • Hey sarah, do you have breakfast tips that are not dairy or bread nor oatmeal? thnx :)

  • @huizenvoorjou scrambled eggs? omelet? My protein pancake?

  • Walking a lot helps. Like an hour or more a day really helps

oh, stay away from soda or juice to

  • @AceInSpace14 I feel the soda/juice thing is a given, no? Should I have said that too?? I feel like most of my viewers know that already

  • Love the tips Sarah!! =)

  • i love this! are there any yoga and working out dvds for at home to help me lost weight :) thank you xx

  • @chloemango11 I have lots of dvd reviews on my website sarahfit dot com! I like my workout videos on here though :)

  • sarah i need help. i am struggling so much on how to lose my belly fat. i do admit i went through a period where i didn't care much about my diet but not i'm trying to be healthy again but i'm left with the fat just sitting there on my stomach what do you recommend to help lose it? please help!

  • @jenny16121 there is a link the "more info" of the video with my best diet tips :) I have so many more tips on my blog as well - there is not enough space here to help.

  • @jenny16121

to lose belly fat recommend taking 2 tb spoons of 'Bragg's Liquid Aminos Apple Cider Vinegar' in a glass of water 2 or 3 times per day. That product not only cleanses your system but people said that it reduces the belly fat. I've been drinking it since 1 month ago and I don't have belly fat! but I also go to the gym and eat only veggies/fruits, chicken and fish. No bread, rice, red meat/pork or diary. Oh and use only Olive, coconut or hemp oil for dressing or cooking

  • @jenny16121

Also, avoid whole wheat products(bread, rice, noodles), they are not good as they were 100 years ago and it increases belly fat a lot! Quinoa and Buckwheat are very nutritious and don't harm our system. Flax seed helps a lot too and Doctor Oz said that pasta with balsamic vinegar reduces belly fat, and coconut oil but I haven't tried those 2 yet to see if they really work but since they are healthy, you should try it ;)

  • @almoorn i haven't had it measured since August so I'm not sure but it was I think 17% and i've lost a few pounds since - I'm between 15 and 18 depending on my schedule
