What an overwhelming performance by THE MASTER and his musicians, certainly not to forget the beautiful backup singers-dancers!

Does anybody know the solo vocalist? Could it be Freddie Mercury?

If you look at one of the "Wave" videos here, you will find him playing the flute.

Incidentally, he had a sound studio in Montreux.

Maybe he just happened to be there...

Freddie Mercury applied for the job, but his Portuguese was poor at the time. So Jobim took DANILO CAYMMI. But Jobim recommend Freddie to have a mustache, which would help him improve his Portuguese. So Freddie who at the time was beardless, started growing here over all his body.
