can you just format ps3 hard drive and reinstal ps3 os?. then download ps3 update lover than 2.50. yes you want be able to sign in to psn but that should enable this to work

@DsxCloud i dont know what the 'cd switch thing is' but yes if you get a ps3 that has firmware LOWER than 2.50 you will be able to run BD-J games. But no one is making new ones so you'd have to develop your own for new content.

@mcd1992 what do u eman i just got my ps3 last year its the one thats real big not that slim one the one that has a botton that needs to be press to turn on u know the orignal ya it says video cant be read or something the error numbers i cant remimber anyways i think u should retry to do it on a iffrent ps3 like a friends so u cna see how it is and try to fix it

@halohalohaloman3 it dosent matter what ps3 you try it on, if the ps3 has a firmware version greater than or equal to 2.50 it wont work. Sony patched this 'exploit' a while back.

there was an exploit in OtherOS on the fat ps3 earlier this week and mabey if people learn how the ps3 works a software exploit will be made for the slim. Only time will tell.

you can use ps3proxy to skip firmware updates but you wont get all the new features.
