wow, really impressive! in fact i love your vids. I just happened to notice you rarely use your pinky playing solo's. I understand its hard to use but if you develop your pinky it is way easier if you play pickin' songs.
Dude, how about recording your rhythm part on your PC, then playing it back as you play the melody along with it? Lots of people do that. You play both of these parts so well, it'd sound cool. (You could feel free to mention that it's you doing the rhythm too.)
ok ok ok. i don't even remember if i've commented on this one before... if i have, oh well~ uh, if you every come to SF on a Wednesday... gypsy jazz night at Cafe Trieste in North Beach... they'll die... they'll want to adopt you lol...
I am sure you have heard of Ian Thomas a superb musician and songwriter. This really taps into his style. If you haven't heard or seen do both and it will really show some additional flair that can be done with the style flatpicking.
Well done as always! Josh is talented, smart, and humble - what a great combination to see in a young man. Great things are to come his way, I'm sure.
wow your good man how long you been playin?

Excellent! I'm putting a collage of this tune with your rhythm track backing up the lead. If it comes out acceptable I'll send it to you...

Is that the one that took you about 45 minutes to pick out?
TotalRENThead525600 3 years ago
i mean i decided i loved it in five minutes, but proceeded to play it for 2 hours before i got it.
200000028 3 years ago
by "pick out" i didn't mean "choose", i meant learn. Still, it's fairly infuriating.
TotalRENThead525600 3 years ago
oh, heavens no! that song took me quite a while... hours on the last two leads.

Don't those Dx-1's sounds nice?
hosscollar 3 years ago
yes, but this is a DR.
200000028 3 years ago
DR? Does it have laminated back and sides?
hosscollar 3 years ago
yes, but a solid top and a solid rosewood bridge and fingerboard. I think its a great combination of volume and tone.

no not free of error but very nicely done And the ending is best of all
