I got mine from Best Buy in 2009, n i gotta tell ya....Wings Over Vietnam is fucking AWSOME!!!! But instead of the F-100 Super Saber, I'de fly the F-4E Phantom!!!

It can take a little more when being fired at, plus it can carry a hell of alot ore ordanace, Plus it has the mini cannon pod!!

I really need to re-install it and start fighting the MIGS agian! DAMN, i love this Flight Simulator!

@BlackOpsSucksBallz According to Thirdwire's site, there is an updated version of the game called "Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam" is designed to work on Vista.

@cianw10 You can set the difficulty and realism levels to make the game harder or easier. Missles lock on once you have kept the enemy aircraft in your target zone long enough. I don't know about macbook pro running it. You will have to check the company's website, Thirdwire, for that info.

@211Lowrider Its been a while since I played.  I can't remember. Maybe it just refuels automatically if you land at your home base? I think I always had the fuel set to infinite in the options so I would never run out.

@modwebby I haven't played Lock On so I can't compare it to that game, but it isn't as realistic as IL2 is.

Yes you can eject, but I think it just ends the mission if you do. I can't remember.

There doesn't seem to be a true HUD. What the manual calls the HUD is just the information overlayed in the lower left corner of the screen. The MiGs skill settings can be adjusted. I probably had them fairly low when I recorded this footage.

This game is awesome... I never really flew a mission in the f-100 though.. I usually fly f-105, a-4, or a-7.

This is very well done, much better than some of the other dogfighting videos. I was very entertained, I wish though you would of used the chase camera more during the dogfighting.

Yeah I like it. I am not a big fan of modern jet flight sims. I prefer WWI and WWII flight sims, but don't mind the early jets of the Vietnam and Korean Wars when the missiles were so unreliable and you still end up dogfigting with your guns.
