  • yeah!

  • coolest old man ever

  • I wish i could play as good as him!!!

  • I have noticed that most modern players put their thumbs through the strap and then point it upward with the pad resting on the side of the keyboard. Gardiner seems to point his thumb downward, with th side of the thumb resting on the keyboard. I don,t have an instrument, but playing "air melodion" his way seems better.

  • some good. luckily the very capable guitar player [no doubt] was off the mic a bit so we could hear Bobby's mastery without the pub-pleasing pop music chord changes [or the droney DADGAD] that are now a big part of "Celtic " music, interfering ..this is Irish music at its unadulterated best.

  • fuckin commercials!

  • How come I can't hear the Accordion.?.....I can hear the talking before and after he plays!!!!Does he have something against me,or just because I am a newfoundlander?????Hmmmmmmmm!

  • I believe the sound is only in the right channel of the recording, the left is empty when he plays. Try to repair that in your computer because it is worth it!!!!

  • Thanks.

  • babby gardiner legend! his daughter is my music teacher lol

  • One of the greats on the melodeon and two-row accordion (he has used a few different ones - B/C, C#/D and D/D# as on his 1981 LP, 'The Best of Bobby Gardiner, CCÉ). I wonder why he's made relatively few records down the years?

  • Actually Bobby has probably recorded more albums than most Irish box players (with the exception of maybe Joe Burke and Jackie Daly), starting in the US with Memories of Clare (1962), as well as Old Country Dances from Ireland and The Fields Are Greener There in the 1960s, then back in Ireland Bobby Gardiner at Home (1979), The Best of Bobby Gardiner (1982), The Master's Choice (1989) and The Clare Shout (1998), making 7 albums - all of which I've got.

  • mmmm, one row goodness. This guy is superb. why dont more players play like him no more?

  • i do!!

  • I kin member playing with bobby 15 year ago at the willy clancy week. he was class.
