@erad67 If one has money for that yes, but not everybody has that especially in these times, one can always write about something, everybody can write about emotions, the world, nature, there is plenty of stuff to write about, which you don't need an education to be able to write about.

@Blahblahbox1 You don't need money to self educate. My step-father grew up very poor. He quit high school after 1 year to support himself and his mother. In his free time he went to the library and educated himself.

I agree that there is much to write about, but with no education your writing likely will be shallow and not well done. There are exceptions of course, but if you want to be a successful writer  having an educations greatly increases your chances of success.
