@jdd1128 I discovered a work around. Instead of double clicking on the video link it the activity window, I copied it and pasted it into the location field of Firefox. Firefox asked if I wanted to download the file. The problem may be with my preferences in Safari (default is now view, not download) but I don't know how to change them.

Easy way to make sure you have the right file is to look for the one that is creeping up in file size (like: 3.4 of 9.5mb) It creeps up in file size as youtube loads the full content of the video.

@jaylaville I tried it on a new mac with Safari 5.1.1 and it seems to work fine. At first I thought nothing happened, then found the down arrow inside a small circle at upper right corner in Safari, clicked that and it shows download progress for long downloads.

@darin770 mine didn't auto create a folder either. Go to finder window and type mp4 in search box. The first file that shows up should be the file you just converted.

If you do this and it downloads as a text file called "videoplayback", just find the file in your downloads folder (or where ever your files download) and rename it with the extension ".flv" The video should play normally after that.

You guys cant do it because before you put it into the converter you have to write ".flv" after the name of the file
