@Omnicron777 Later I return to this notion as the natural theory. It is contrasted against positive law theory which arises as a consequence of convention. I'm more positive law, if I have to pick, more utility and convention than an inalienable "right". Rights for me are only meaningful insofar as they are recognized, which changes on the whim. Personally it's not something theoretically I find stimulating but its a foundational concept. Without political enforcement none of it matters
