  • @MrRaffles Do you have the whole Folllies [sic] tape? I would love to see the whole thing but can't find it online anywhere ...

  • Thanks for the upload..saw them at the Whiskey A-Go-Go and again at some place int he Valley --Perkins Palace! Yes in 80 or 81.. They opened with this at one of the whiskey shows and I wlll never forget it. Thye werent the best technical punk (but who the f was... no need) but they captivated..it was gutsy performance art that rocked!

  • @bakshay You must've gone to one of the 2nd/late shows at the Whisky. I went all 3 nights (1st shows the first 2 nights, only show the 3rd night) and they didn't play this in any of the 3 sets I saw.

Perkins isn't in the Valley btw it was in Pasadena! That show was 10/14/1981. Too bad Sioux got laryngitis and they cancelled the next night's show at The Country Club ...

  • @RiotNrrrdUTube ..ganjafied memories I guess..the country club WAS in the Valley..I think I saw gang of 4 there..maybe the plugz opening? sheesh

I do recall Go4 at the country club and Magic Mountain opening for Flock of Seagulls..or else I have totally lost my mind. You seem to have a grip on dates and places Cheers!

  • @bakshay I was at that Country Club Gof4 show too. I saw them a bunch of times back then ... 1st L.A. gig was opening for Buzzcocks at the Santa Monica Civic 9/12/1979 ... opening for Iggy Pop there as well 11/11/1980 ... Perkins Palace 7/15/1981 ... The Country Club 9/10/1982 (with R.E.M. opening) ... at The Palace around that same time ... etc. I also know they played at The Starwood as well (5/20/1980 and 5/21/1980) w/ The Plugz, but I didn't go (D'oh!). Thank God for saved ticket stubs!!

  • I feel 10 feet tall when this song comes up in my Siouxsie playlist, I just do <3

  • awesome song <3

  • The quality of the video is not important. This song is one of my favourites, sends a shiver down my spine. Just awesome!!!

  • thanks for posting, its amazing! :-)

  • What fantastic - wonderful footage thank you so so much for posting. :-)

  • Incredible with McKay and Morris. Not matched untill McGeoch and Budgie joined.

  • @MrRaffles - thanks for posting this. Clips with McKay & Morris are so rare.

Do you know if a low-gen copy of this whole "Folllies" set exists? Teh Googlez is giving me no satisfaction.

  • This is from "Follies", a show on Belgian french TV. They aired live shows from Wire, The Jam, Buzzcocks, The Ruts, XTC,...and I think they erased all the original tapes!

    Thanks for the upload!

  • desde mi infancia siouxsie siempre levanta mi animo es lo maximo es la madere del punk

  • Brilliant stuff!

McKay's guitar sound was a blueprint for so many bands (pale imitations) that followed.

Disappointed that he didn't sprout an extra set of arms (Shiva-like) to simultaneously play the sax line ;-) )

Ta lots for posting this "Scream" classic.

  • Thanks for posting - the 'classic' lineup with Kenny Morris & John McKay, those two had a great dark moodiness about them, then of course Robert Smith + Budgie had to step in but still good - I'm sure you were there - great gigs.

  • Aahh.. Lovely footage. A real gem. I have`nt seen suburban relapse performed live before.

    Thanx for uploading!

  • It may be bad quality but that doesn't matter. This is the only video I've seen of them do this live. Thanks :)

  • Aarrghh no please don't pull these videos because of some argument. The quality may not be good, but these are historical gems.

Weird coincidence, I just got one of those USB turntables, and have uploaded about 3 songs from my 30 year old copy of "The Scream", with varying results. But "Jigsaw Feeling" came out great, and sounds much better that that remastered stuff. In my opinion !

  • To be honest I did not put these videos up to start a slanging match - it puts me off uploading more, of which I have many rare and in some cases hardly ever seen videos. Who cares if you met Siouxsie and Budgie - I met the whole band repeatedly in the 70s and 80s but see no reason to use it as an "Im better and a bigger fan than you" argument. I feel like pulling the videos but I wont as that would be unfair to those who know how to act rationally.

  • @MrRaffles Please don't delete the videos! Ignore the fools. Thank you for posting it. I love Siouxsie & TB, and it's great to see old footage of theirs.

  • Guess what.......I used to use all the words yo uuse until I balanced out my mental illness:) LOL! You're still a dickhead and after what you wrote to me.....REALLY DICKHEAD! I'm younger and cooler then you....I'd blow you away if i came to NY! I met Siouxsie in 98 in Portland, OR..along with photos, chatting with Budgie/SIouxsie, signed 45 of a Creatures song, etc....SOOOOOO..GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU OLD HAG POSER! Your comments suck and peep Gehenom....which is hell in Kabbaah! You will be there!

  • OMG - bought the scream when it first came out in what my 16 year old daughter describes as the Olden days (pre cell phones, video's and three channels only) Ebay here I come....fantastic performance!

  • Damn. Already put my Siouxsie 'best of' DVD together, and here's this...

  • awesome video

and the pre-80's cherie blair look rocks

  • o.k i'm going to listen to The Scream now.

  • Good idea. I haven't heard this one in a long time.

Fun to see a vintage live video of it.

Thanks for tipping me off to it, swp!

  • Classic!

Banshees @ The Beeb boxset (3 cds and 1 DVD) coming out soon!

  • One of my fav Banshees songs and one you don't hear much..awesome!

  • Yeah! Another vid posting that I've never seen. So much cooler that having the 'Arabian Knights' or 'Cities In Dust', etc. vids on here 50 times. This is a great one. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone. This is one of my favourite Banshees tracks as well and as you say SkeeterNYC a refreshing change from the usual Siouxsie uploads - great as they may be.

  • agreed why diss the others above?

  • why compare those dickhead? lol

  • Are you illiterate? I wrote that posting the same video several times is tired. I love Th Banshees vids. Especially the ones Tim Pope directed. I own them. But obviously people don't look at what's already on here before the just post stuff. Oh and as far as the 'dickhead' comment goes, come to NYC sometime and we'll kick your fuckin' head in. Also, you'll never be equal to anyone except the abortion you should of been. Peace & Love.

  • What a great performance !!!!!!!
