Most Americans believe what their "news" media tells them they believe. Their (lack of) values can be seen by what they will tolerate when it is done to others. They wail about "muslim terrorists" but are blind to the much larger attrocities directly attributable to the West and Israel. Judging by the comments blaming the Palestinian victims and Muslims, most Americans are still self-righteous, hate-filled bigots and racists, and show little capacity of ever being anything else.

Im not sure what claims that Palestinians to that particular region have. How can one steal something that was never truly owned. If we define ownership as the group that was there originally and sift through archaeological evidence it can be argued that Israelis had a presence in the region that predates Arabs during antiquity....

In the late 19th century there were about 25,000 Jews in Palestine with a growth rate of 3%. In 125 years, there should have been about 1.06 million Jews in Palestine. But do to colonization by European Ashkenazim, there were 5.3 million. That's 4.24 million colonizers. According to the UN there are 4.25 million Palestinian refugees outside of Israel. Let them go home!

I believe in the golden rule: don't do to others what you don't want done to you. No ethnic group or religion deserves a state at the expense of another group. The million or so Ashkenazim colonists from 1920-1950 (counting their children born in Palestine) should have emigrated to the US. It's shameful that America turned away so many out of self-interest and anti-semitism, and it's typical how little the US cared for the dark-skinned Palestinians who were displaced.

I can go on, but if your merely talking about the pre-1967 boundaries that were established even the Gaza strip as well as the west bank were under Foreign control if im not mistaken, ie: Egypt, Jordan. But in reference to killing, yes it is unfortunate that many civilians were killed but lets remember that this has always been a side effect of war. But the situation is made worse in a densely populated area in a cultural/political/religous climate where suicide is honarable.
