I've been wondering how it arrived there, because my xingyiquan teacher has studied Emei-style Baguazhang (not sure of the lineage yet) and he said he will teach me. I heard Sun Lutang went there when training in Baguazhang, Cheng-style, and I thought it is possible he brought it there with him. Maybe not, of course.
Bagua Emei Shan: Some from Dong others eclectic versions. Shengmen Bagua uses the Yi (Intention) & Yijing theory. Sengmen Bagua Buddhist branch Imported by Shaolin Monks. You Shen Bagua Li, Zhangye taught Lui, Zi-jian who was a student of Yi Fu a student of Dong, Hai Chuan. Jiulong Bagua family style similar to Shengmen but also eclectic concepts based on Yijing symbols to develop internal power through visualization. Sun, Lu-tang also studied the Yijing at Emei.
