  • I used have such duels with by simply letting the computer takes control of the characters for some toe to toe action. I would just sit back and enjoy the show. Ran events years ago with BG1 and had about 10 characters (not hacked) and friends sent some.. Various BG forum members sent in characters too. All characters were not hacked and were original. Most were straight fighters, but others classes fought too. I never though of running events like yours though. Cool stuff.

  • BG ARENA?? how do i get there?

  • Bulshit, Yaga-Shura cheated, he used a potioN! >:O

  • I seriusly cannot believe anyone could even think of some petty ranger beating one of The Five.

  • I have no idea how you can control the enemies. I've researched all over the internet for a way to do so and can't figure out how. I've done the traditional route of attempting to charm them, and even pierce their magic resistances and then charm them. Nothing works for me, is there some sort of cheat or mod that allows you to control them?

  • @Zeemis HI!

Actually, I'm not controlling them, they fight by themselves, with their AI scripts. If I attempt to control them, they don't fight properly (dragons don't breath fire, for example).

And yes, it's cheats way. If cheats are activated, you can include any criature in your party with ctrl+J. But remember, you can't control all the attacks of the creatures. They fight by themselves.

If you understand spanish, in the forums linked at the video description you can found more info :)

  • @Mordenkainen My fault. Ctrl+Q. :)

  • @Mordenkainen I've sort of done this. I've edited the enemies I want to face each other in ShadowKeeper and set them to Charmed. It works on some enemies, like Sarevok, but not enemies like Demogorgon and Mellisan. I'd like Jon Irenicus and Melissan to face each other, or even Balor and Demogoron to fight being as they are like two demon gods. So I just press Ctrl+Q once I cheat-summon them and they're under my control?

  • noooo, drizzt no puede perder...

  • what is arena bg?

  • gibbed! heh,try and come back from THAT one Drizzt! haha!

  • your still going by the game system in which Drizzt is bound by game rules (YES im a drizzt fan, so flame me), his skills aren't really justified in the game, but even so he aint invulnarable, I doubt he would be able to kill Arklem Greeth the lich by himself.

    @FastFacto4

You are forgetting the fact that it is even said that he can be secretly favored by Lolth herself.

And the elf girl is dead, he's moved on to another girl :) read the books, aint gonna spoil more for you. Cant write more :/

  • Drizzt had won this fight if he had drunk ption of healings like Yaga-Shura did.

  • ha ha hes just cutting off his dick

  • You guys don't understand, Drizzt is one of the Chosen of Mystra the Goddess og Magic. The rule of limited magic and so on doesn't apply to them. Plus all chosen of Mystra should have 25 in con. Other chosens are Elminster, Khelben Blackstaff, etc. Read about these things in Forgotten Realms wiki or get the 2nd ed D&D books. Thats why Drizzt is so imba, plus those chosen by Mystra cant permanently die, because she will personally resurrect them, without con loss.

  • @HKrayZC sorry, but are you sure Drizzt is a chosen of Mystra? As far as I've read, he's a chosen and follower of Mielikki. I thought Mystra's chosen ones were all archmages of some kind.

Just asking, no need to get jumpy.

  • I thought so too.. Chosen of Mystra made kinda no sense anyway, because he is an Ranger and not an Mage..

But I have only read the first books of him so I am clearly behind..

Apart from that, Wikipedia not always says the truth~ But I will look for myself^^

  • @HKrayZC Drizzt is not a Chosen of Mystra, He is a loyal follower of the nature goddess, Mielikki. And I can easily prove this by one of the useless books in this game. In Baldur's gate I, the Chosen of Mystra book says nothing about Drizzt. Among the Chosen are Elminster, Khelben, The Simbul, and the other 6 sisters. And yes, They can permanently die. Khelben Blackstaff is dead.

  • I would love if in ToB Drizzt appeared for the third time for a final revenge after being killed twice before. I can see him saying: "I tried to be so nice to you last time and you killed me again. Now I am really pissed off! Uaaaa!" :D

That time he could have more friends, his teacher and wife with him and some more cool stuff like non-adamantit drow plate +5, that would be sweet. Or he could wear the Balduran cloak! :)

  • The problem is not that he is not strong...

Drizzt's team has major trouble in penetrating magic defenses. One Pfmw and they are all in trouble.

  • The game programers game Drizzt an enormous advantage anyways. If you were to take the ranger class up that far (Level 30 +) you wouldn't possess the same THACO or number of attacks that Drizzt has. He is given powers that can't be obtained by the ranger class in the game unless you cheat.

    Conclusion: Fuck Drizzt

  • Yeaah!!!

  • Drizzt is not so strong and on level 30 you can kill him with no problems.. And you can achieve 5 attacks when using Belm (from Trademeet) in one hand.

About the THAC0 - on high levels you should have about -10, which is quite enough as Drizzts AC is not much lower than this. And Drizzts THAC0 is not so superlow, in a full plate + 2, 2x Gaxx rings, cool helm, some cloak, good dexternity and a little spell help (like the harmony) Drizzt does not hit you on every attack..

  • agreed

  • Agreed. He's single-handedly ruined Drow too. They're supposed to be evil and now everyone-and-their-dog wants goody-goody pussy Drow. *spit*

  • @xXGaMeArChIvEsTXx

    yeah artemis rocks anyways

  • @xXGaMeArChIvEsTXx Drizzt kills things by looking at them.

  • @xXGaMeArChIvEsTXx he even had some unexplained +20 or so damage any time he hit

  • yaga sura used potion D: drizzt own it and he had to pot

  • So true, Yaga Sura used a damn potion. So cheap.

  • Jesus!

  • I beat drizzt and his party in the shadows of amn when you meet them in the woods with not very much effort, obviously lots of powerful summons and support magics. I saved and then reloaded obvioulsy coz they help you later :D

  • Hmm.. But yaga Sura was invicible anyways? That is, if his heart wasent destroyed..

  • No, he can be defeated.

  • wtf? drizzt would win ☺

  • lol drizzt is an idiot for running up to the giant

  • drizzt is a characer from a novel. of course he seems uber, but i think he could beat yaga no heart enchantment

  • if you play him right he might do well in pnp, but as far as elminster goes, well, avatar vs ranger. hrm. you decide. lol

  • my characters a ranger and he killed an avater solo

  • hey fellow bg2 fans. lets remember here that drizzt is still a pretty vanilla character compared to 22nd level god spawn and a giant with an mini-epic enchantment on them. i mean. by the time you cross yaga shura elminster is a punk.

  • ELMINSTER IS NOT A PUNK! and drizzets just drunk in the video

  • In bg2 Elminster himself said he dares not to cross the player character, when he meets up with the player character who asks him if he's spying on him/her, with a pretty casual tone.

You can even try to kill him, and he will immediately cast a spell and flee.

  • in bg2 he was to busy to bother with the lord of the bhaal spawn and he flees because he dosent want to use violence

  • Elminster is lvl 29 mage, Mystra's favorite and has "silver fire" spell (kills bypassing saves and resistance) not to mention all the epic skills. He'll wipe any1 out.

  • Yeah, not to mention you can't kill Elminster in the game because his hit points are locked at 1 anyway. If you cheat to kill him the game locks up!

  • he won't be able to cast it in time....my Fighter was lvl 30 :D (Plus *spoiler alert* he was a very strong character he refused to become a God in the end, heheh)

  • I wonder why there is such a discrepancy between the invincible super-human from the novels and the mediocre fighter in the actual RPG. I mean, in the novels Drizzt defeated Zaknafein, who is probably the most powerful Drow-figther, killed a Dragon together with Wulfgar, destroyed a Demon in battle (Errtu) an so on. But as a character in a D&D video-game or in pen and paper he wouldn't survive for long.

  • It's because the actually class abilities they give him don't measure up in game terms to what can be done in a narrative story.

  • If you talk about what can be done in a narrative story, then Yaga-Shura is also much stronger than what appears here.

  • Yes but Drizzt would be stronger because he's the main character. Stronger or some great and miraculously fortunate thing would happen to him to allow him to win.

Drizzt has all the plot armor he needs.

  • If you're talking about that, then Drizzt would not even fight him. Like a match of "Drizzt vs. AO" or "Drizzt vs. chosen of Cyric", such things will never happen.

  • not neccesarily, if some ridiculously stupid situation a writer could simply detail some long and arduous quest that would grand Drizzt god hood and he could go stab Ao or Cyric. It's writers license! Whoever they want to win wins.

  • drizzt would never accept godhood. he's been trying to get in cattibries pants for 20 years. um. i haven't read past starless night though.

  • @neirfane True, I've read up to the one before Silent blade. i forgot what its called XD Passage to dawn maybe?

  • @neirfane I think he's gotten over cattibrie. I'm not POSITIVE, but i think he developed a love interest with another elf.

  • @hennytehhen123 you mean the one who tried to kill him and almost succeed? i don't think Drizzt love her though btw she is dead already

  • @KuhoinX I know the one you're talking about, but it's not her.

It's an elf that he meets in the latest trilogy, the one with all the orcs? The Hunter Blades Trilogy. I don't actually know if he loves her because I've yet to read the last book, but it looks like it could go there.

  • @hennytehhen123 I see. I bought the trilogy 2 years ago yet never have the time to finish it.

  • @KuhoinX heh. same here. Maybe we'll finish it one day.

  • @hennytehhen123 He married cattie-brie then lost her during the spell plague which killed her.

  • @neirfane well he DOESN´T want to get Cati-brie if you read the books at one chapter she is possessed by the sword she got from a drow captain i think it´s the weaponmaster from baenre clan and the vlade talks through her and Drizzt seriously thinks about nailing her until he figures it is the sword Kazidhea possessing her^^

  • true dat. like when he foudn the ice scimitar in the dragon cave so he could banish errtu later in the novel.

  • its not an innate ability for them to levitate - if you read the R.A.Salvatore books you will see they are able to levitate from using their house insignia - Drizzt' emblem loses its power when he is no longer of the house

  • thres now way that gay load of giant crap would beat drizzt

  • He beats Drizzt because he's no normal giant...

    HE IS YAGA-SHURA!

  • Oh, yeah.

Now, I just want to watch Elminster's death.

  • sarevok would beat the shit into drizzt in bg1

  • actually i think drizzt kills sarevok easily if you cheat and summon him in the final battle.

  • Would be easier just to spawn them both with CLUAConsole commands and see them duel out!

  • Drizzt can't heal and he hasn't his scimitars

  • He HAS his scimitars

  • What a brutal death lol

  • I thought drizzt would win? He had his scimitars, right?

  • Do you reckon Drizzt could pwn Sarevok in BG1? oh wait silly question ofc he can ;p.

  • Yaga-Shura heals himself when he is heavily wounded (which was twice on the moovie) if Drizzt could heal himself he would easily beat Yaga. i may be wrong :P

  • Right! ;)

  • pwnd

  • Pretty thanks´, AFTepes.

    You rule ;)

  • What does Drizzt say before he fight´s Yaga-Shura?

    Translation plz ;)

  • he says "everybody at once, friends!" its saying that in case that there were companions in order to attack at the same time

  • DRIZZTWOULD WIN HANDSDOWN

  • Wow... That was... strange... ok, first, im sure Drizzt would be able to move much faster and block, and secondly, if he was losing don't ya think he would RUN?? Also, the only human that can match Drizzt so far is... uhh... noone. Drizzt beat Entreri fair and square in Jarlaxle's Crishal Tirith anyways.

  • elminster would wipe the floor with drizzt.

  • It's Baldur's Gate II, Throne of Bhaal.

  • Jello killer capture, what game is this? This is not Baldur's nor is it NWN and it looks like a good play....

  • WTF is this shit?

  • on BG1 Drizzit is awesome. He is one hit and makes gnolls explode! lol level 5 could do that though...

still, hes awesome as a character

  • lulz

Drizzt is the coolest but hes not that good

HES ONLY LEVEL 13....or something around that haha

  • Well considering that Drizzt has Slain an actual god AKA Grumush Who is no longer in Obould. Yeah well maybe there weren't cheats However knowing my luck a giant will slay Drizzt in th next book. All Hail the third son of House Do'Urden

  • Well, you have to consider, first i don't think you can talk about beating Drizzt in a stat ruled system (Seba4). The real Drizzt from the books has killed giants and (with Wulfgars help) a dragon. I don't know about demigods though and i have no clue who the giant is, but in my opinion, Drizzt could probably win do to his amazing speed, however, i say this assuming that the giant has no augmented speed which he most likely does, I guess what i'm saying is you havce to consider all the factors.

  • i don't think many ordinary mortals could stand up against one of the last (and thus strongest) children of bhaal

  • Um, look at the screen. Yaga-Shura is outlined in green. Drizzt is outlined in red. Good job using cheats to make your character look like Yaga. Nice use of using cheats to summon Drizzt as well. NOT!

  • Cheats? The link at video info explains how this fight is prepared. Yaga-Shura is not my character: is Yaga-Shura, with his stats and his powers.

It's all explained in this link, no secrets. This isn't a conspiracy against Drizzt, it's only an entertainment. Watch my other videos, there are more fights with other characters. I don't have any problem with Drizzt...

  • For those who haven't played the game, Yaga-Shura wasn't just any run-of-the-mill giant.. He was an immortal demigod and son of the Lord of Murder. Of course he would have been able to pwn Drizzt.

  • My friend "TheRoadWarriorMadMike" put everyone in the book of warriors and the book of villains against Drizzt and he pwned EVERYONE! According to the origional D&D rules, story of the character; it's physicaly impossible for him to lose (except against his father Zacknafein of curse but this is before R.A Salavator touched the original character of Drizzt).

  • Drizzt was an 18lvl fighter before he reached the surface then in the surface he became a Ranger of 16lvl, in D&D its not possible for any kind of elf to make that class change, thats why in BG and any set of D&D Drizzt can be defeated, while its impossible to be defeated

  • in the novels... he can only be paired with Artemis Entreri a Human that CAN make the class change of drizzt, Artemis was 11lvl thief then changed and now its a warrior 15lvl so in DnD based games Artemis its Far better swordsman than drizzt... but not in the novels where drizzt was 18F/16Rngr...not possible on DnD for any race, only humans can make that change

  • you are extremly wrong on rules of class change and should probably become more educated before making fanboyish comments like this. it is not possible for drizzt to be a lvl 34 character this would mean he would be a god which if he still being injured by orcs he is defintely not but drizzt also has a level in barb so...

anyway drizzt is only a 16 level with 2 level adjustment

  • Artemis is also a level 17 char a has only 1 level in assassin. please try to be more educate bfore becoming outspoken.

  • stupid! first im talking 2nd edition rules and I'm saying the same thing... im saying that drizzt cannot be accurately created in a D&D 2nd edition. cuz in the D&D HEROES LOREBOOK says that drizzt was 18th level warrior in the underdark but then was trained as ranger by mooshie where he acctually is a 16 rngr... and im saying that no one can match him for that reason IN THE NOVELS.. in D&D he can be defeated as it happens in this video...cuz he is only 16lvl rngr

  • ok i understnad then you are correct for 2nd... just been along time since ive used those rules lol im sorry

  • well the current levels of drizzt is

    level 10 figher

    level 5 ranger

    level 1 barbarian

    according to 3.5 d&d

  • Oh wow, congratulations on your imaginary friend being able to beat up your other imaginary friend.

Knowing what you're talking about just makes it worse, jesus christ.

  • Oh suuuuuure, Drizzt fans give me low marks just 'cause of a little (lame) character building exercise aye? Nice -_- I was getting into the "spirit of things". Asshats. Any bloke whose read the game manuals proper can put together something better than this.

  • Have you read the books latex?

  • apperently he hasnt or he would know that drizzt can call guenhwyvar if help is needed not to mention his equipment is far superior to that fake ass non D&D character in general

  • The Icewind Dale trilogy? The series about Drizzt's travels? Sadly no, but I will. Just Google "drizzt do urden 3.5 stats" and weep. Many competent D&D players could put together a more serious threat than Drizzt Do'Urden in his 3.5 incarnation. He's good, even better in the Candlekeep version of his stats, but not amazing.

  • And I was talking about the tabletop Dungeons&Dragons game manuals too. Seriously just look up his 3.5 edition stats. They're not bad at all, but nothing to write home about.

  • I'm not going to trash you because you were ignorant of the truth. It is not your fault that you didn't know how to do your research on D&D (most people don't). There is always someone who is a #1 man; especially when it comes to combat and Drizzt is that man.

  • Research on D&D? What research? What are you talking about?

    Have you read the link?

    Please, don't flood.

  • Not necessarily. I have been playing D&D on and off for maybe 2 years now. Take a moment to read the Optimization Forums on the Wizards website. I may be inexperienced, but those guys are PROS. They could put together something to take Drizzt and Co. down a peg with their eyes closed. In the books he is presented as a master fighter, yes. But in the D&D tabletop game, his stats can and will get outclassed without too much effort. Thanx loads for being nice.

  • A lot of people the character just because he great when they don't know why (if you remember what I said earlier; you would know by now that R.A. Salvator had nothing to do with Drizzt being great). In fact; R.A. Salvator made him more vulnerable especially when he reached the surface; having his innate abilities weakened.

  • but in the surface drizzt got more stronger than before, in surface he cant fly but he adquired more experience not vulnerable

  • Drow elves. CAN'T. FLY. They don't even have it as a spell-like ability!!! Only Drow with levels in wizard and a Fly spell memorized/wand of/scroll of Fly handy or a magic carpet can do it. Or maybe in a spelljammer or Halruaan flying ship...

  • Drows DO hafve in innate ability to levitate though =]

  • Exactly. Yaga-Shura was a Bhaalspawn (Half-God) Firegiant that underwent a ritual that seperated his heart from his body, which made him unkillable.

  • Dudes, obviously you don't know what you are talking about. This is a video from Baldur's Gate, and Drizzt, though powerful, has nothing to do with a Fire Giants King and Bhaalspawn. Moreover, if you look closer to it, you will see how he needs to drink a potion (a curative one). So stops saying nonsenses, cause neither Drizzt is that great, nor the video is a fake.

  • I love how drizzt hit every time and still lost... that would never ever happen to drizzt.

  • that bastard is so overrated

  • As if any giant can handle Drizzt. Don't be fooled by this stupid video, Drizzt is a beast and the only one that could defeat him in the D&D universe was King Obaul (because the Orc King was blessed by the god of the Orcs)!

  • Nope, I defeated him twice in my private D&D universe, and our dungeon master still hates me.

  • Yeah, thanks to dice roles (a.k.a luck)!

  • That's funny. Though I would like to see you try your luck against Zacknafein!

  • man, int the book 3 soujourn drizzt is stronger than zaknafein, only artemis enteri is mach for hem, i sorry for zaknafein is my favourite character but drizzt is best. in the D&D drizzt is lvl 16 and zaknafein lvl 10

  • me 3 times and each time he was 15 levels stronger than me and my 3 person party

my dungeon master wants to kill me and takes every little opportunity to do so but i always out smart him. either that or he hates paladins. (i havent got a 100 % good item in like a year)
