This was absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen!!! The dialogue was moronic, the scenes were extremely lame, and the "action" dragged until the end. The film is just plain idiotic. Don't waste your time. If I could get a refund, it still wouldn't cover the loss. I had to make sure I could still recite the alphabet and count to ten just to make sure this film didn't cause me mental retardation.

Godzilla would still kick it's ass, however I cannot confirm this due to no specifications about the height, muscle mass dexterity and weight of the creature, but Godzilla has thermonuclear -atomic breath, you don't mess with that kind of power, if anything that would at least burn the parasites off it's body.
Anyway, the film was probably one of the best pieces of marketing, yet one of the largest let-downs of all time. Sure it was exciting n' all, but all it was, was what the Godzilla (1998) movie should have been. Sill, it's only a 3 star movie...Nothing less that 3 though....

No lie, I watched the film very drunk at the cinema, and was not effected, unlike my mate! ( who still liked the film even though it made him hurl out his insides! )
Anyone who has seen the movie will agree that the real shock of the movie isn't the monster, it's how much carnage it creates and the shock of it being close.
secondly, they will also agree that the creature can take damage! a lot of damage!
The best part of the film for me was how for once in a film the charecters actually behaved as real people would, and how I would.
Yeah I heard that the reason he can take so much damage is cuz his skin is really really thick and durable. It's like that because his natural habitat is near the center of the earth ("deep sea trench") and so it has to be able to withstand high amounts of heat and pressure.
j.j. even said it's a deep sea crature that got woken up by the falling thing in the end (which was a broken piece of a satalitte btw) and this is just a baby one. a newborn to be specific
Satilite crashed into the water. Opened a crevis which the monster came out of. I'm not making this up, the director said this in an interview. Although what I'm wondering is, if this monster is a child, what does the adult look like?

It's understandable that not everyone is a monster-movie kinda person, but this movie really was EXTREMELY awesome!! I thought it was very realistic (the monster's shreek or scream or whatever you want to call it was terrifying). Haha, Griffoza, "freakin'".

Sort of, but it looks more amphibious (Like a frog or salamander) than a reptile.

Now I have to say this preview pissed me off!
I wanted to go see the movie to find out what the monster was. And this preview ruined it for me. Now I know what it looks like. But it does look incredible but just....

The monster didn't sound like that in the movie, it made a screeching kind of noise...but this movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Good job JJ.

there is a sequal commnig out, its ganna be during the same time period and they see rob and the crew runing by but thats it, its fulmed by other ppl. what i just said is jj's idea im not ure if he will use it but yeah... the sequal will show what happens after the nuke and what the monster does later. i cant wait for that. i hope he makes a 4 movie set xD

If you Listen Closely, after the helicopter crashes someone on the radio says "all copters are down." so Lilly actually did not survive.

but at the end, rob was listing off all the people he knew, or assumed, to be dead. jason, marlena, hud. no mention of lily whatsoever. so either that means he doesn't know if she died, or he doesn't believe that she is dead. plus that flaming mass that got thrown wasn't a helicopter, it was a truck

Omg, youve got me thinking this monster is adorable now...Lmao!..But if you really think about it, I think JJ's plan was to make you feel bad for the monster in a small way..Since it is only a baby, and all it really wants is to find its mother..And people are trying to kill it...So cute!..Lol.

the prequel Manga details tells us that the main character (Kishin Aiba) in the 4 chapter story is probably Cloverfield (the monster) Or has a connection to him and his mother. I want to see the manga completed in hopes of answering some questions about Clovy himself. lol

Anyone who has seen the movie will agree that the real shock of the movie isn't the monster, it's how much carnage it creates and the shock of it being close.
secondly, they will also agree that the creature can take damage! a lot of damage!
The best part of the film for me was how for once in a film the charecters actually behaved as real people would, and how I would.

Yeah I heard that the reason he can take so much damage is cuz his skin is really really thick and durable. It's like that because his natural habitat is near the center of the earth ("deep sea trench") and so it has to be able to withstand high amounts of heat and pressure.

j.j. even said it's a deep sea crature that got woken up by the falling thing in the end (which was a broken piece of a satalitte btw) and this is just a baby one. a newborn to be specific

Satilite crashed into the water. Opened a crevis which the monster came out of. I'm not making this up, the director said this in an interview. Although what I'm wondering is, if this monster is a child, what does the adult look like?

The thing at the end was a satellite. The creature has been underwater for thousands of years, I don't know how you can deny what the makers of the films have said...

It's understandable that not everyone is a monster-movie kinda person, but this movie really was EXTREMELY awesome!! I thought it was very realistic (the monster's shreek or scream or whatever you want to call it was terrifying). Haha, Griffoza, "freakin'".
