No not really. The owners manual states 110hp and that is at the flywheel with no alternator or water pump or cooling fan and exhust different from stock. The number is about as good as stock gets eventhough I expected 95 or so.The TR6 really just does not have much power but if you comp it to an MG or other cars of that period and price it is at the top of the power list.

I think the US owners manual states 110HP gross (I don't think FI was avaiable for US in 1974). Any way you want to slice it, there is just not much power or efficiency in that 2.5L motor when compared to todays technology. Current head designs of modern motors seem to account for a lion's share of the difference with EFI accounting for the balance.
it is called PI (Petrol injection) and not FI. It was never sold i US. I have a triumph TR6 PI. there were only made 13.912 PIs and 77.938 caburettor models. The PI is a pain i the ass to fix, and thats whey it never was sold i US. The PI was made from 1968 to 1975.
The car was tied down very well and did not cause much concern. It was a new rebuild with a stock motor, stock exhuast etc. It did have the pertronic ignition. The motor was not adjusted/tuned but ran out at 85hp.
wooow , Mannnn that thing's sound's just like a Lambo Miura at higher rev's.
