I think having 'trained opera singer' in her CV ought to be enough to lay questions of her vocal technique to rest.

Moreover, I can hear all the words, and it sounds nice, so I'd say it was done nicely.

Does she have someone singing live backing vocals? It sounds like her, but I can't imagine how they could synchronize a backing track (when it's so clearly her singing/playing live, and not lip-synching).

She does that because .. if she sang some words fully there would be excessive air blown into the mic.. since there is no pop filter over the mic it would sound like someone punched the mic everytime she sang "earth" or any other word similar that pops the mic..

shes very trained and controlled in her singing..

actually they'd have incorporated compressors, so sibilance and plosives wouldn't really be a problem. her pronunciation is just a stylization.
