  • wow, things have gotten really dumbed down since the ealry 1980s. could you imagine a kiddie's show doing a parody of Ingmar Bergman, or any other high-falutin' director?!?

  • @tsartodd Who said the Muppet Show was a "kiddie show" in the first place? Henson created that show BECAUSE he hated being typecast as a children's entertainer with Sesame Street and wanted to appeal to an adult audience.

  • Lol "Du Ende"

  • I shudder to think what would happen if Sam joined the other Muppets if they ended up as guest stars on Monday Night Raw.

  • This is hillarious! Just to see Beaker as the Angel of Death is a riot!

Yet it gets even funnier when Fozzie shows up and tells a joke in "Swedish"

  • "But I am not ready to die!"

"Ah, well, if you do not wish death, how about a rubber chicken?"

This made me laugh so hard, tears poured from my eyes. I had to pause the video for three or four minutes so I could stop laughing and watch the rest.

  • Why. Sam. YOU look dashing. :D

  • Better simply is not possible.

  • Drüska drüska drüska!

  • Sam looks embarrassed when he translated the script in front of everyone, huh?

  • @TheEmikodo

Sam is embarrassed that he's on the Muppet Show in general. A Swedish version is only worse. Because it's not AMERICAN.

  • They just HAD to use that Gummo joke again, huh?

  • I wonder if Jim provided the Chef's left hand since Frank was performing Fozzie and Sam.

  • Hahaha, "Oh yes thank you very much. hmm Goo Awaayy." Lol sam is my favorite.

  • I am no longer afraid of death! ROTFLOL ^^

This is probably one of the best muppet sketches ever done!!! & i heart beaker!!!!! XD

    *****

  • FAVORITED!!!!! I have been looking for this forever!

  • Beaker as the Angel of Death offering his victum a rubber chicken - comedy gold right there.

  • This belongs in "Beaker's Top Moments", for sure. :D

  • DU ENDE

  • This is absolutely hilarious. They really made a fool out of Sam, yet again.

  • Especially when they sang "Danny Boy."

  • I love this! I always thought the Chef and Beaker worked well together.

  • Poor Sam. He just can't win. :p

  • @disneynut06 He kind of deserves it, though. Especially when you consider that he barely understands half this "culture" stuff he preaches about anyway.

  • @AdamYJ True.

Sometimes, I can't help but think that Kermit, Fozzie, Beaker and the Swedish Chef secretly sabotaged Sam's efforts to inject "culture" into the show here by stopping the right Bergman film from being sent to them and doing a different one, just for the sake of making Sam look foolish once again. Or something like that. :D

  • "What do you get when you put sugar on ground beef? Sweetish Meatballs!"

  • Actually, it's "What do you get when you add sugar to hamburger? Sweet-ish meatballs".

  • @Kryptoburn257 "...Wocka, wocka, wocka...."

  • I'm sure berbman would aprove - he had a good sence of humor after all.

  • Sam's beak is particuarly pointed for some reason.

  • Hey-ho, Olaf the frog here with another great show for you...this is not right!

  • One of my favorites, leaves me in hysterics each time, lol (Especially Kermit's part LOL)

  • Wow
