AVIDRC it was maybe a about 10mph slower. The extra speed came from weight loss of about 12oz from those awesome LiPo batteries and the other mods. This boat still has the original brushless motor and speed controller!! Be sure to check out the link to the forum thread in the video side bar.

You are saying that the change to the LiPo battery will add that much speed. What other mods were made? I just purchased a Blackjack 26. I have the regular battery but will upgrade to LiPo's eventually.

I thought that boat can only take 2, 7.2v batteries... not 2, 7.4v batts.?

Actually I believe the stock esc is rated up to 21volts and I have seen some guys on the forums run two 3cell lipos with the stock esc and motor. Click the link in the side bar to get to the forum on my boat then look through the other forums posted.

Not sure which is faster. I don't own an SV27 and have never seen one run except on video.

Price is listed above $106 for both Lipos shipped. And removing the battery trays and radio box did make a difference. less weight, better center of gravity.
