  • @GoGetter18 it's on the Decade cd

  • this shit hot

  • I think this version is better than the one with Nas. Beat sounds better

  • so glad I'm not the only cat who remembers as if it was yesterday.

  • its the remix by erick sermon and the original is prod. by pete rock .....Damnn straigh classic

  • AZ sounds like a kid. but dope ass rapper

  • Where is AZ

  • This version is great, but I still prefer the version with nas on the hook.

  • damn i like this version alot more than the other

  • Guys that is a way different version of gimme yrs does anyone know where i can get it?

  • Son had and still has the best flow i ever heard. its melodic and soothing. cant wait till doe or die 2 dunn real talk.

  • I refuse to listen to today's contemporary garbage. Back when r&b and rap had a smooth blend. This also when ni99as was rockin' tall contruct tims, and ni99as in my hood would cop the tan ones, dip them in dye in all flavors. '95, year MJ came back with 45, the yr after the Knicks went to the Finals, but lost. Year after the Rangers won the Cup, The year before the Yanks won their 1st world series since the 70's. I was on my B-ball shit hard back then.

  • Don't get it twisted, I love the original with Nas off the album, but for once i honestly like the remix better. This was an era when rap & R&B sounded good 2gether, b/c the beat isn't noisy and lame, the hook isn't predicated soley on being catchey. And most importantly, the rapper and singer each knew their fuckin' role. Ex. either you rap or sing the two should never intertwine from the same artists, you wind up sounding lame and gimmicky much like today's garbage.

  • I fucking LOVE this song!! I had it on a tape a long time ago, obvious, but the tape broke and when I fixed it only the last part of the song was left. I didn't know the name of the song at the time so it took me about 10yrs to find it again. Now I got it on CD and I BLAST this shit all the time. People be lookin at me silly like "what you bumping" and I'm like "some real shit".

  • classssic!

  • Yo this song is sick. Im mad at the radio for not puttin shit like this and chamercial rappers for not makin songs like this.

  • high five for uploading this video-true classic AZ...always been a fan and a lot of people are not up on this at all!

  • And my dog said the most important place in NYC from 95 til 2000. The Tunnel!!!! Everybody who heard an album from any up north rapper back then heard The Tunnel in a rap!! The last time i been to the tunnel was late 2000! Prodigy's HNIC and Capone N Noreaga's the Reunion just dropped and they did they albums live in The Tunnel!!! Cormega was going off that night. 2 much good memories, not enough time to reminisce about them all. I miss home!!

  • Remember Bear and 1st Down Bubbles back then? I was only 13 back in '95, but i remember the tunnel quite vividly, I'm from Far Rock, dudes from my hood would literally go there every wknd. and yap ni99as for their jewlels and cash in the bathroom.

  • Word my dunn!!!! I always come home to visit twice out the year for a month!!!! It keeps a nigga grounded so i can't forget what's real.We on some Back to the Future type shit dunn!! You Mc Fly and i'm Doc Brown!!!!

  • Mokasin, you'd be doing us all a favor by building a time machine or something and take us back to the best years of hip-hop cuture!

  • i love grimmy street beats like this

  • OMGI 'M SO NOSTALIGICALLY SICK RIGHT NOW, MY FUCKIN' STOMACH HURTS. 1995, what a year, what can i say. Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, DKNY, Polo, Baggy Guess Jeans, Eastland Boots, Replica Sports jerseys, cyberteck swishys, and cross-trainers, Reebok and Fila was even poppin' back then. All my NYC ni99as and ladies know wtf i'm talkin' bout. Girls was rockin' finger waves, with baggie jeans and flannel shirts,(don't rly miss that, lol) Niggas was wearin' beepers pushin' jeep cherokees. '95 ni99a!

  • Yessir!!!!

  • Colombia rain suits, And columbia jackets with the stupid phrases on the back, jansport bookbags with madd lassos on the zipper. College sweaters. Avirex leathers. Jazzy instumentals with madd base, and hardcore beats that knocked. And Clue and Ron G Tapes, ( and i mean actual cassette tapes) The Tunnel in NYC. Aol was only like 2.0 back then. And most memorable bout '95, Pun, BIG, Big L, Freaky Tah, Pac and Half -A-Mil, were still fucking breathing i'm out.

  • '95 was a year when, any ni99a owning a celly had to be pumpin some work.

  • @Mokasin82 We were rocking all the same shit here in Philly, the flannels was a west coast thing that the east coast adapted after the big influence of Dre and Snoop when they came with the G-Funk in 92, 93 and 94 AND you took me back big time!!!! Peace to you for that!!!!

  • @Mokasin82 hell 93 94 95 even96 greatest years ever everything was fun every song was great from rap and rock to country and r@B

  • And you can't forget honeys looking hella proper in them tight moschino jeans, fly-ass tennis skirts, figaro chains, the way they used to do the little things like outline they lipstick was always sexy to a brother!! Redbone females were getting they Faith Evans on rockin the blond hair, versace and gold hoops. Remember when Perry Ellis came out with street boots for a lil bit? On some real shit, i had the white ones with the metal PE logo on the side. We used to rock philly blunts t-shirts.DAMN

  • @Mokasin82 shit i miss the 90's lot of sick ass east coast days it seemed the hot ass tracks never stopped from percee p to az....what the fuck happen i still get shit cuz i still live in these days and that aint gunna change.

  • @Mokasin82 i feel ya on that son! man 90s was greatest era ever, best tv shows, best music, best teams, best kicks and fashion, i know you rmr every one in new york was rockin the high top filas fx100s too b! crazy how fast things change....

  • @Mokasin82

jeep cherokees...LOL...eh i feel you on evrything brotha..I'm L.A. cat, we on the same shit'z though...you forgot about the Timb sweatshirts and shit...but we was mos def on the Guess, Cross-trainers, Reebok, & Filas...one love...

  • @Mokasin82

it's funny cause i'm being analytical wit ya words. saw ya other post. u miss it, huh? i'm da same dawg, i'm lost about da new shit. i mean, i'm a west coast cat, but hip hop INCLINE. my favorite rap group of all time, EPMD, GANGSTARR, THA ALKAHOLIKS, KING TEE, NAS, i mean dawgs, i can go bac 2 da CHI ALI'S, know wut i'm sayin? i feel ya dawgs. you sound like me. just keep it in ya heart BROTHA. i read somethin recently, it said, "HIP HOP AIN'T DEAD, YOU JUST HAV 2 FIND IT"

  • @Mokasin82 i was truckin ladder 118 FDNY and blowin my speekers back in my appartment th relax the days of PURE CLASS never be repeated peace out

  • @Mokasin82 Not just new yorkers...that was typical for the black community everywhere....90's was great!!

  • im missin tracks like this the real hip hop fuck lil wayne 50 cent and stuff

  • Hardly no fitteds back then, no skinny jeans and tight skull and bone shirts, strictly baggy boss, lol or guess jeans, rugby shirts, and starter hats with the snaps in the back, and designer tommy and nautica hats with drwstrings. Super Ninetendo and Genesis, back when arcades were fun to go 2, until core systems surpassed them. St. Ides and Philly blunts. Acura Vigors and boxed shape nissans. no metrocards, tokens were only $1.25. Joe Clair and Big Lez on Rap City, real talent, no youtube.

  • 1995 was the greatest year ever.

  • @Mokasin82 I always considered 95 my golden year of hip hop. My older brothers had 88 and i had 95.

  • @sohait 50 is cool he does shit for classic hip hop now wayne fuck him

  • A true classic - made during Hop Hop's golden era - I'm glad that I was old enough to live through and appreciate Hip Hop's finest years - this track is indicative of that period. Still have it today.

  • Damn! This is equal, in terms of quality; beat, to the LP version.

The only thing about Az is that he kinda switched up his flow in his recent albums. I'll admit that the flow and delivery on Doe or Die was legendary (the best ever), so It's hard to match that one.

Still, his stuff is better than 99% of radio- hip pop.

Btw, check out my tracks off of my upcoming EP!

  • Damn, i been an AZ fan since Illmatic in '94, and Doe or Die way back in '95, and I never heard this remix let alone knew this video even existed. Best Post of '09. much props ma dude!

  • he was on lifes a bitch with nas

  • did any of ya'll like freddie jackson's "love is just a touch away"???

  • Yeah, it sure was a dope sample.

  • AZ one of the most underrated rappers ever.

props, fool is a great lyricist and got the fire flow!

  • erick sermon did his thing on this remixed beat!!!...Dope!

  • This is the hottest song he "ever" spit. Pure classic!

  • AZ has always come right. Beats and flow always on the mark.

  • i made a beat off of this on fl studio 5

  • i got fl studio 8 idk how to use it can you explain it to me how to use it

  • I was 14 when I got this album and I was mad that this version wasnt on it...thanks for posting it. Brings back memories

  • im 14 now lol

  • Every Single NIGGA That Swing Through,Aint My Man Just Cause We Mingle........AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH!!

  • Ya'll dudes buggin the E Sermon remix goes way harder than the original.

  • I agree...both versions bang...but this one...pfft GREATNESS

  • First time seeing this video, so I didn't realize the video version is different from the album version. I album version sounds better to me. Cool video though.

  • Until I Touch A-Million Plus Aint Much To Discuss.....MY MOTTO BABY!!

  • classic az his most jammin single

  • This is a cool remix but the original is better because Nas (cant sing 4 shit but he tried) sings the hook!

  • i was rarely disapointed cuz nas contribute a verse on the original version but he was hot on the hooks, no vocal abilities but hey hes an MC, MC's dont sing

  • yea its cool he cant sing, it lets normal heads sing along wit it lol

  • i fuckin love the singins in the original, it's so dirty. i love it to muthafuckin death! the original is waaay better than this.

  • yo the original version si better

  • Is that Eric Sermon talking in the begining?

  • true that

    prod by Erick Sermon

  • I had the single to this back in 95-96...there was a dirty version on it

  • I had the single too, there was NEVER a dirty version released for this,I did extensive research on it.Trust me.

  • Comment removed

  • Voice Like A Kid...But Is Shit Real

  • Anybody know who did dis beat?

  • Erick Sermon

  • i like the album version better but its still hot.

  • wow 95 i was just graduating high school. this cd got madddddddddd play when i went to college. everybody was freestyling off "mo murda mo homicide" beat lol

  • damn, i haven't saw this video since i was in 7th grade, i'm 26 now and just you let you know you got great taste in music, keep bring up the old school shit

  • I recorded this version on tape from the radio back in 95. I was in the 7th grade too. GOOD TIMES!!!Give me what you cant get back...

  • this is one of my FAVORITES!!!! I souldn't find this for a while and I had the tape in 1995.....I cannot believe this is on here!

  • classic!

  • Damn, i aint heard this version in almost 10 years.....righ'own' for puttin this up

  • AZ IS FINE AS SHIT

  • man I gotta say i never heard this version prolly cz i never saw the video But tight shit

  • Both versions of this song are CRACK! The album version with Nas has a grimey ass streets of New York vibe. This remix just has that slicked out baller, hit the club with a clean button up and buy out the bar type of vibe.

  • great observation my dude...i neva thought about that...real talk

  • album version is better with nas

  • AZ's Spit Game is Crack over this E double E Remix Top 5 dead or alive!

  • this dude was crazy lyrically.

  • shit...he still is...

  • love is just a touch away!

after hearing the crap this is geared towards the club now, i miss these golden era remix attempts at r&b club/playa joints. *sips moet* :)

  • this shit is fire!

  • The original song with Nas is better but this song is still ill

  • why des the song sound like it skips

  • Sounds like theres heavy compression/limiting on it.

If anyone has a link to a decent MP3 copy, please PM me it!

    Cheers.

  • i need that shit to. az is a nasty ass artist.

  • goood fucking looks, i know they shot a video for this u worth 50grand man.

  • I been looking for this joint for years! I had it, and let this chick borrow it, and never got it back. I have missed it ever since. THANKS!

  • I got this version of the song on my computer and on cd when I bought it like in 95. Just send me your email address or if you live in So. Cali I'll just meet you some where and give you a copy

  • pedo

  • Thanks!!! I finally have an opportunity to see this video that I was looking for for years. They should have done it for the original versiou though

  • Hey man im 15 and I just found out about az a few months ago since then Ive listned to all of his tracks: the format, come up, I am the truth, how ya livin, sugar hill, the essence, etc... he is to ill

  • nothing compares to the album DOE OR DIE

  • I have this video on tape from an 95 episode of rap city with joe claire kicking it with rae and ghost. I love both versions, but if I had to choose I would take the original by a slight edge. Eric did his thing, but Pete Rock was just on a whole different level. But I remember this video back when I was 10. If only the young cats today could be exposed to this........ That undeniable album should be ill!! As well as the new pete!

  • Wow, i taped that rap city episode, with Rae and Ghost, thas back when BET, has TEEN SUMMIT & Big Lez. That episode, was in '96 promotin Ghost, Ironman album. They did the interview @ some arcade & Ghost was talkin' bout how he was takin medicines for his diabetes. AZ is the most underated EVER, damn i miss mid-'90s rap '94 '95 '96, was the holy trinity era!

  • Hey what's up Moka.

Actually I have a different episode than you. The one I have has Joe Claire chillin in the 36 Chambers studios with rae and ghost just choppin it up about future projects for the wu, individual projects and whatnot.

The one I have is around fall to early winter 95. At the end of the episode all three are freestylin to that gza "cold world" instrumental. Man I would love to see the episode you have though!

    I miss those days :(

  • Here's some of the vids they show that I know off the top of the head:

Wu-Tang "Can it be all so simple" "Mystery of Chessboxing"

    Raekwon "Ice Cream" "Incarcerated Scarfaces"

    Kriss Kross "Tonight's The Night"

    ODB "Shimmy"

D.O.C. "Return of the living dead" (crazy ass video)

    Smif-N-Wessun "Wreckonize (Remix)"

    AZ "Gimme Yours"

    Gza "Cold World"

Sunz of Man featuring Killa Army (9th Prince & Killah Sin) "Soldiers Of Darkness"

  • i dnt see Nas anywhere

  • amazing remix...

  • WOW!! I have been lookin for this version of this song forever. Good lookin for postin this. What I wouldn't give to get that real hip hop back.

  • wow i didnt even know there was a video to this but i like the album version better ... with nas on the hook

  • Thanks for posting this my dude. Doe or Die is one of my favorite albums of all time. And this remix is SICK! Peace.

  • The cat that posted this video knows about that real shit. This is that original, New York feel. Good lookin' kid!

  • Wow, A video for it. :O So what version is this, a remix? I've never heard it before and was the video made for this version? Wiki says there was no Single released for Gimme yours..

  • nvm that, It does say it was released as a single.

Personally I love the beat in this but the original beat works much better with the lyrics.. I still want an MP3 of this, it seems rare as hell.

  • Yo kid I had the single back in the day (Tape). I recently bought the CD single on Ebay. Peace.

  • give me your email address and I'll send this version to you

  • been waitin for somebody to post this. this is was that era bringin my vibes back from all this shit I'm not feelin nowadays. ain't the same but the kids love all this new shit.

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh man i wish it was like this today, im 15 an listen to hip-hop form back in the day lol what a sight

  • Thanx, been waiting to see this video again for years.

  • i like the regular version more than this, this sounds kinda weird

  • I like this version better than the one on his "Doe Or Die" LP. He samples this music from Freddie Jackson's "Love Is Just A Touch Away"(listen closely). I just recently got the remix to "Gimme Yours" from iTunes. A nice & slow groove to play while you're cruisin' around town.

  • Hell yeah i found the single CD at a music store shit is worth sum money

  • the chorus is also a sample from "Give Me" By I Level.

  • Hey, It's an Erick Sermon Production.

  • DAAAAAMMMMNNNN!!! Am I wrong to say this version is better than the one with Nas? I think it is. It has that Trackmasters feel to it, and I just happen to love any song done by those guys. Thanks for posting this. Keep supporting real HipHop and real artists like my man AZ.

  • No You're Not Wrong At all. The Trackmasters Gave It A More Slicker And Smoothed Out Kind Of Vibe. Don't Get It Twisted The LP Version Pete Rock Was Fly But This Version Has More Life...

  • Yo dude i hope you dont mind i borrowed your vid for the nas version i gave you credit in the description

if you dont agree ill take it off

  • Fuckin sweet nice find

  • he could rap lyrical

  • Yeah in a way you can lyrically understand, alot of rappers are lyrical but it can be hard to know what their saying.

    AZ is the don.

  • ^^ Was meant to be a reply.

Does anyone have an MP3 of this? And are there any unedited(Swearing cut out) versions? The editing ruins it.

  • look on best buy music stores site....he got a greatest hits album......i been knocking dis shit 2 days straight taking cats back....dis was high school 4 me!
